hmm... I redeemed this on Vudu because two options showed up on FLixter and I wasn't sure which was right. When I had redeemed Lucy and Lone Survivor on Flixter, it showed up in my UV Library and my Vudu library in seconds. But it's been ten minutes since I redeemed my Oblivion UV code on Vudu and it still hasn't shown up in my UV library or on FLixter.
EDIT: Wow! I guess Vudu is slow. It took around twenty minutes for Oblivion to finally show up in my UV library. While from Flixter it was almost instant. I guess Vudu will be my last choice from now on for UHD UV redemption. Last edited by aaronwt2065; 08-10-2016 at 02:00 AM. |

Reference 4k disc, the Atmos soundtrack and the visuals are truly next generation. Everything else sounds and looks flat in comparison, I may upgrade my amp and get another pair of martin logan AFXs!!

So I just watched my 4K copy. Did anyone notice the Dolby Atmos track was a little low volume wise. No complaints other than the volume of it. I have a Dolby Atmos setup, and kept my receiver where I normally do for all my other 4K titles, but it sounded a little weak to what I am accustomed to. After the credits roll and it goes to that Deluxe Entertainment logo that animation was so much louder than the actual movie. Anyone else have the same experience?

No Atmos for me yet but I immediately noticed the volume is lower. Definitely lower than Lucy or Lone Survivor. |

^Age of Ultron was another quiet one.
I can't believe I watched 3 movies today. Lol. Lucy is dumb but fun, Lone Survivor is top tier film-making. Universal is off to a great start! Lovin' me some UHD HDR. Last edited by Dreamliner330; 08-10-2016 at 03:42 AM. |

Both are best loud. Oblivion is much better. Save it for when you can play it loud and appreciate it. Do not watch any reviews or trailers AT ALL until you've seen it.

I watched Oblivion 4k today and I wasn't to impressed with the picture quality as it didn't look an sharper then the regular blu ray. I just got done watching some of the 4K documentaries from shout factories (Flight of the Butterflies and rocky mountain express) and both of those looked head and shoulders better then Oblivion.

I hate to say it, but I think this movie may have some serious DNR. I just compared the 1080p blu ray, and the 4k version is very soft almost at all times. The 1080p version is noticeably sharper with better texture. The hdr is terrific, but the resolution is WORSE.

I think I'll just hold on to my great-looking steelbook for this one. As much of a visual marvel it is, it just doesn't seem as a significant enough upgrade.
Had they released the opened up version shown in IMAX I would have been singing a different tune. |
