You can get them overseas but you have to pay £110 for a season ticket.

Nice link by the way.

I know this will be a rebuilding process but I’d like to see more desire and hustle like with Liverpool.
I thought Arsenal looked like a team who will finish 5th. Hope I’m wrong.

The league looks nailed on already.

Man city title
Liverpool
Man U
Chelsea/Tottenham
Arsenal 5th or 6th.

We have to give Unai Emery time to get the way he wants the team to play.
He said when he first came penton that he wants to play a higher pressing game and be aggressive in going forward and in defence.
What he did Sunday came back on him when he was asking Cech and the defence to play the ball out from the defence and to have a narrow front three didn't help against Man.City either but i give him time to get it right and it was disappointing to lose our first game but i was impressed with Guendouzi in midfield.

Yes, they were saying on Sky that he'd probably need at least 3 transfer windows to get the team he'd like, so the guy deserves a chance.

Liverpool I think could give Guardiola a run for his money. Man City will probably still win the title, but not with such a vast lead as they had last season. However, after my lousy football predictions during the World Cup, anything could happen.

I didn’t know that, well that’s good to hear, meanwhile for the time being, actually since last year stemming from my constant frustration/disappointment with the Arsenal organization for years, I’ve switched to being a City and/or Liverpool fan, depending on which plays with more passion. Because, for me, watching Arsenal play for the most part for the last several years has been a real snoozer. There has to be a cultural change and that includes letting go of any player that doesn’t RUN, no matter what the score, even someone of the quality of Ozil.

I think Steed is right that again Arsenal will be out of the top 4 by the end of the season and I don’t care if they end up 5th, 6th or even lower for a couple years into the future as long as they play with more enthusiasm as a unit, then they’ll win me back. They still put me to sleep when I watch them. When Leicester City last won the title, they proved that man-for-man they didn’t have the quality of other teams, but watching them play was a true pleasure and they won the league to boot. Even watching some of the teams at the bottom of the table play every year is a lot more enjoyable than watching Arsenal lackadaciously go thru the motions, year after year.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m for Emery because I think Wenger should have been gotten rid of long ago and was the root cause of BORING Arsenal football…. when they do have possession of the ball to see them meander slowly down the field allowing the opposing team plenty of time to set up in front of them, then pass the ball sideways back and forth for an eternity, going nowhere and then eventually maybe even when they get bored of themselves, take a totally impotent shot toward goal because they lack a striker with power and accuracy.

And then there’s the defense….not enough urgency to quickly shutting down or at least harassing an opposing player who has the ball and not allow him to make a comfortable pass or look.

Emery has a lot of work ahead of him....hopefully the ownership will also help by enabling him.

I still think Liverpool could win the title this year CV19 they have the best record when playing against Man.City than the other teams and they have a strong squad this season.

Well I’m sure that exact thinking is what Arsenal management counts on when they set their ticket prices. Where are they now? still among the highest in the league, I’d assume?

Anyway, thing is Tob, as originally a ‘neutral’ to English football having been born and bred in the U.S.A., I have no real deep-seated affiliation to any team in the Prem. Arsenal won me over during their glory years and after that I’ve stuck with them as long as I could endure it until recently. Thee only ‘to death do us part’ I have here in the U.S. is regarding marriage and I’m proud to say I’ve kept that vow for over 30 years. Can all loyalty-bound Arsenal supporters boast of the same thing?

Arsenal has to earn my support back again, not simply maintain it like it’s some expected family inheritance. No offense , but meanwhile, for the foreseeable future when I’m on some intercontinental flight to Europe or Asia and tempted to take an Ambien due to the time zone change to induce me to fall asleep quickly, instead I’ll just watch an Arsenal match on my laptop and that should do the trick without medication, seriously! Arsenal have got to learn to leave everything on the field, especially after a summer lay off in which players weren’t involved in Champions League or World Cup matches.

P.S.
I actually enjoy (although I’m somewhat skeptical they have the skill to pull it off successfully without better quality players) the tactic of having asked Cech and the defense to play the ball out from the goal because that’s the most exciting thing they generally did all game long.

You did yourself a favor just about. At least with regards to Everton. I'm glad that Richarlison shut the naysayers up a bit with a very strong debut, but Jagielka all but sealed our fate with that silly challenge and consequent red card. This was not the kind of start I was hoping for.

Good luck lads.

We have S****horpe tomorrow. (There’s a sentence I never thought I would say!)

Enjoying it so far, I honestly am. There is something liberating about this division and all the new experiences.

Loooooool, the forum won’t let me show the team because part of it spells out something unfortunate.

Congratulations by the way mate on a great win.

Meanwhile, what a contrast with the Manchester clubs......there's Guardiola all smiles and Mourinho with a face like a wet weekend. I have to say though as a neutral, I was happy for Brighton and they deserved their victory. Man Utd need to sort themselves out if they are to challenge for the title.

Thanks mate. This new team plays some smashing, attacking football. It’s a joy to watch. Proud of the fans. Just 200 short of 30,000. Great atmosphere.

I don't think anyone can be surprised by what's happening with Mourinho. History has shown that he's not one to stay at a club for a long time:

2000 - Benfica
2001–2002 - União de Leiria
2002–2004 - Porto
2004–2007 - Chelsea
2008–2010 - Internazionale
2010–2013 - Real Madrid
2013–2015 - Chelsea
2016–Today - Manchester United

3 years is his maximum spell in a club and I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone this year. His latest interviews and body language are all pointing to him looking for his next big payout.

I predict that after United he'll be looking for one more club to take him on (Monaco, Lyon?) and then he's probably going to look at the Portuguese national team.

Looking at your list there, you're right he doesn't hang around for very long. I suspect he falls out with either his players or the directors/owners - perhaps both.
