L'armée des ombres,
First off, great job creating and maintaining this list. This has to be by far the most comprehensive list on the Internet. Maybe just keep the same list/thread and mark those that known to be 4K DIs? The remainder could be presumed to be 2K DIs (until evidence shows otherwise)? Just a thought. Either way how it's stated, I don't think a new thread is needed as it's nice to have it all consolidated in this one and less work to maintain. Last edited by HeavyHitter; 07-26-2015 at 05:23 PM. |

Well, I'm the one who started moaning about the differences between 4K finishes and 4K scans in the first place before I gave you the extra workload with the Sony 4K scan list that Pieter found, so I vote for full-fat 4K DI only.

I think they make on Spider-Man 2 only one 4K scan but two different workfows. For the DVD and the Blu-rays a 4K scan and a 2K finish. For the mastered in 4K BD the same 4K scan, but a 4K finish(with expended color space).

Based on this site's review, Imitation of Life ('59 version) is apparently from a 4K resto. - http://filmforum.org/film/imitation-of-life-film-page

![]() I think L'armée des ombres, is using an old back up list. He also had duplicates, for other titles. The exact same ones from months ago. There was an original 4K DI and 4K scan. But years later, Sony just revisited the old transfer and make it more up-to-date. I am sure the last Spider-Man 2 of the 4K Mastered Line will be used for a future UHD release. |
