It's nice to see this being re-released as a colelctor's edition but I'm actually wondering why "Enter The Dragon" is the only Bruce Lee movie getting released. I'd like to see the rest of his films released ...
There's only so many times you can release Enter The Dragon before it becomes redundant without the release of the rest of his films. The Chinese Connection, Fists of Fury, The Game of Death ... I wouldn't mind a collector's boxed set with his more familair films. ![]() |

Even though I'm not buying the 40th Anniversary release, for those who are interested: Here's where the newly remastered transfer will hopefully be improved:
HD-DVD (same as the Blu) vs. DVD: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...ss=0#vergleich note: While detail is mildly improved, notice the jaggies on the HD-DVD transfer. Warner Blu vs. Hong Kong Blu: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...mage=6#auswahl note: Despite the fact that the Hong Kong Blu doesn't have the aliasing issue, it still sorely lacks in both detail & overall color balance. |

EDIT: I don't know for sure if this is even the 40th anniversary transfer, or the old one. Buyer beware.
I don't know if it comes with all the physical extras that the US is getting, but Amazon UK has the movie for about $22US shipped: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Enter-Dragon...3302060&sr=1-1 Last edited by MifuneFan; 03-20-2013 at 03:59 PM. |

Let me say this about the jaggies. My first BD player was a Sony BDP-S1 or something like that. It was their first, cheaper one for like $500. I saw the jaggies like crazy on there and I did not like it. Later, I bought a Panasonic model - their first cheap one for $500 with the BD-Live features and so forth. Once I played it on there - the jaggies were gone! Some people may not be seeing jaggies based on their player, but they are there and I knew that the moment I saw them that the resolution was lower.
They had BETTER redo this film as this one and Terminator 2 seem to be getting the multiple dip treatment much too often. Like someone else wrote, include ALL deleted scenes and the behind the scenes footage would be great and I would pay the $34.00 for all of that! It would also bee nice to get documentaries and what have redone in HD instead of having these people stay lazy. The man is dead and we should be able to get all that is available from him since that is all we will get. What's up with his Hong Kong films? |
