From there they all became adult bookstores, only later to be converted into the Starbucks cafes you see today. Plans are in the works to eventually change all Starbucks into suicide booths.

It's a shame that the original artwork wasn't used for the front cover, it's badass. The new cover isn't too bad though, I've seen worse. Going by Warner's' treatment of their catalog releases in the last few years, I have a strong feeling this transfer will be good.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble here, but the fact they haven't mentioned remastered audio, alarms me. That'd be a sales killer, and as we move closer to release date, that's what I'm watching for.

They're really jerking fans of this film around with lack of attention to detail:

* Heller's commentary and no new commentary

* No deleted scenes or alternate angles (the entire film was shot with alternate cameras/angles)

* No original theatrical cut

* Same old special features from earlier release

* No interviews with surviving cast members (another missed opportunity as they have been dying off)

What bubble? Warners put DTS-HD on their re-encoded double dips as a matter of course.

Plus they took out on the feature length Bruce Lee centric documentary which was on the previous release. Not cool

does anyone know if the audio commentary by producer Paul Heller and screenwriter Michael Allin on the "snap case" dvd is the same as the 2 disc dvd & bluray?

Back of snap case dvd...
"Audio commentary by producer Paul M. Heller and writer Michael Allin"

Back of blu ray/2 disc dvd...
"Audio commentary by producer Paul M. Heller"

I could dig out my dvd...I remember the commentary? had a "call in" Michael Allin? maybe thats why he wasn't named on bluray or just left out for space?
or two different commentaries....

There are some new features being offered on the 40th...they don't look overly impressive, but they are there nonetheless...

I'd imagine so.

Again, this was due to matters of legality regarding the "Game of Death" footage included in that documentary. I'm sure Warner didn't opt to do it for no particular reason, they were probably forced to by law.

I owned the original snap DVD, as well as the 2-disc remastered release and 2007 Blu, it is the exact same commentary on all 3 releases. The commentary is almost entirely Heller, and he calls Allin on the phone.

Do yourselves a favour: if you haven't listened to the Heller commentary, then DON'T because it's utterly awful.

It's the cover art they've always gone with, not sure why they always feel the need to change things now with Blu-ray.

I did these two a while back when the 40th Anniversary Edition was unannounced. Will finish them once all info has been given...

Bruce did record his dialog for this scene, it was even available on a Japanese LP in the 70's. Don't know why they didnt use it...In fact someone did a version with Bruce's real voice..here it is on Youtube....

It has been years since I last listened to it... and while I personally found it informative to an extent, I'll admit I wasn't overly impressed. Personally, I would've much preferred a Jim Kelly and John Saxon commentary ...

"I'll take you darlin'...and you...and you....and...you! Please understand, if I missed anyone, it's been a big day, I'm a little tired..."

Jeezus. Great post. That scene is so much better with the right voice dubbed in. Much more intense. Surely they could make it happen and put it on disc as a deleted scene. I'm going to be honest, I don't like that scene added into the movie. I much prefer how Lee is introduced in the theatrical version.
