Great news, thx.

Gus
In the other ENT thread there is talk that some transfer or other intensive work may be required of at least the early season(s), though not on the epic scale DS9 or VOY would require.

I have S3, which I'll keep on DVD. I may sell S4 and upgrade. It may be a season of fan service, but I'm a fan. A shame Paramount forgot the lessons learned from TNG and DS9 that modern ST takes three years... It's a dish best served cold.

Double shame we could've seen the Romulan War. I don't hate S1 & 2 but a "best of" would do me fine. The whole Temporal Cold War DID drive me nuts (and while its key to S3, if I remember right) the large arcing plot pretty well buries it.

Always nice to see another Trek industry insider telling it like it is about JJ-Trek.

The Enterprise extras sound cool. And reading the interview just makes me want to see that TNG Inside the Writer's Room even more.

did i miss something? i thought that was coming up.

nice to see them excited about Enterprise. I always thought it was treated poorly when really, it was no worse than any of the other series - they had time to get better and Enterprise was cut short.

In part 1, there's a paragraph that touches on it. But thanks for cluing me in that part 4 is going to have more!

I think all of those things hurt the show, and now we’re at a point where enough time has passed; those of us who are really hardcore fans of the Star Trek universe – you have the J.J. Abrams movies, to us, that’s not really ‘our’ Star Trek, that’s something very different – so I think that re-launching Enterprise now may satiate that need that hardcore fans have now to watch TV Trek, because I think Trek works best on television; your one-hour morality plays, what Gene really envisioned from the get-go.
Have to agree with all of that, and having only watched Enterprise through once so far, I'm eager to give it a second go.

TrekCore has some great shots of the packaging and on-screen menus: http://trekcore.com/blog/2013/03/ent...c-menu-images/

...and there is an insert in this set!

I can't wait to get this but this set is the first time I wish there was a problem getting the musical rights so that they would have to change that horrible theme song.

looks sweet. see they have the text commentary for the pilot - let's hope they keeps these up for all future releases. just hope they retyped them as the old font really won't look good in HD.

oh god, let's not start that song debate. the best part about dvd/bluray discs is that when the teaser ends, you can hit the chapter button and move to the beginning of the episode so you don't have to listen to it if you don't like it. i personally would have liked a theme more inline with the other series but the song works fine. it is like the Smallville theme - the whole song doesn't work but the short arrangement they use works fine for the credits.

Yeah, I found the theme song rather unusual, given the previous trek series. But I found it fresh at the same time I generally usually skip the opening sequence on most shows. I'm actually surprised most discs aren't setup in such a way, that one can tell the player to automatically skip such sequences.

Ha ha! You almost had me going there.

But if they were going to use the stupid Patch Adams song for the show's theme, they should have at least used this version:

I "Like" the theme song, but I'm afraid I'd have to say it wasn't exactly appropriate given the previous trek series. By comparison, they're vastly different

Excuse me!

The song is good. Better than if it would have been a Beautiful Day by U2. Bad enough it was the Canadiens goal theme for a bunch of years.

Man you people whine a lot. Just watch it and enjoy it for what it is.. entertainment. What's the point of commenting about the vid quality if you weren't going to buy it in the first place ^. Vid quality will be just fine unless you just analyze every little detail.

Theme song wasn't as good as other ST shows but that's like the last thing on the list to comment about and to me it's a short list.

[Show spoiler]
That looks like the other side (inside) of the cover art... not a separate insert.
