Encouraging news on processing:

"Panasonic has had the 65CZ950’s colours tuned by renowned Hollywood colourist Mike Sowa.

Sowa, whose movie credits include Oblivion and Insurgent, says of his involvement with the 65CZ950: “Panasonic is proving their commitment to excellence by engineering their newest 4K Pro TV to satisfy my professional standard of zero compromise. My world of visual storytelling is based around colour accuracy and the need for a display that compliments the creative vision. Panasonic has engineered their newest 4K Pro OLED TV to a standard that I would only expect in professional displays.”

Nice, but probably much more expensive than the LG's.

Great to see Panasonic still in the game!

But I didn't see any mention of 3D...

Will the set be able to show a movie in 3D?

Sure is, more companies means more competition, more competition will drive down the prices and the quicker those sets will be in our living rooms. OLED is the future!!

Panasonic says this is the most color-accurate TV it has ever created, and is the first to achieve THX certification. The new display will reportedly hit store shelves in Europe this October. Check the video.

Good news. Wasn't interested in buying an LG OLED. Seems my reasons made sense as Panasonic has a better implementation as i thought they would. Curved though so no thanks. I'll continue to wait. Do we know if they're using WOLED or RGB?

Hopefully Sony is next.

Panasonic has said they use a "custom built panel". Everyone reporting on the announcement says it uses an LG panel (WOLED)

So...LG can't make a specific panel for Panasonic?
