I've never seen this movie but have heard good things.

The extended version comes out on blu next week and I'm itching for new movies I've not seen on blu. Would you guys recommend this or not?

Thank you muchly

It's a great film. I am a huge Cameron Crowe fan, and this one is at the top (along with Vanilla Sky). Especially if you are into the whole 70's era style rock music. I would highly recommend it as a blind buy. Especially because the Bootleg version is the extended version and it is oop, and the differences between the two (extended verses theatrical) is huge. Excellent film.

I have the bootleg edition on DVD and have never watched the theatrical cut (ever) don't know how it differs, but I love the Bootleg Edition.

I will, however, wait for the US release on this one. It's sure to come and I probably won't need to watch this one again until then.

Default Almost Famous for $26.65

I ordered this title from my favorite UK vendor, Sendit.com.
They ship promptly.

Their price was 2 pounds ($4) cheaper than even Amazon. With shipping it came to $26.65.

Check them out!

It's the story of my life. Anyone who loves music and has rock n roll coursing through their veins needs to see it. It will confirm everything you know to be true.

It's region free so it will play fine in the US.

Ordered my copy about a month ago and both the U.K. as well as Japanese release will play on U.S. players.
Kate as a groupie and a Les Paul....does it get much better?

Cost was around 28.00 delivered to the U.S. from Amazon U.K. and I heard sendit.com lowered their price on this one making it slightly cheaper yet.

Thanks!

I love music more than movies - am always going to see bands and write/record my own material - so movies about music generally go down well with me which is why I do wonder how this one passed me by.

Looking forward to experiencing it for the first time, and in blu!

Exclamation Get this on B2GOF from mediadis

mediadis running B2GOF that includes titles like Almost Famous, Cinderella Man, Face/Off, Starship Troopers, Air Force One etc. Grabbed 4 Blu-rays for 60 EUR. Not a bad deal considering stateside availability of these titles.

Just bought this title in the deal!!! Thanks for the link.

If you do use Mediadis; It is wise not to use Belgium standard post. It is very slow, and losing packages does happen quite a lot.

'Fever Dog' by Stillwater is still one of my all-time favourite songs.
