To sum it up, Stereo 3D, like color vision and stereo sound (2 ears), is a natural extension of our everyday sight (for most). Why not extend that to our TVs as Cameron suggests? With Glasses free 3DTV, I'm betting it'll also work with our blu ray 3D discs, provided blu ray is the current format in the next 10 years. |

Good point. 2D is nice, but it's like having one eye closed, compared to two eyes open with stereo 3D. Glasses free will be a big plus once the prices drop and the tech is fine tuned, this way it can be viewed without a second thought, by anyone with a pair of stereoscopic eye vision.

"Hugo" was actually filmed in 3D. |

In my experience so far, I prefer passive 3D tv sets rather than glasses-free sets. And it isn't only me. |

What glasses free are you talking about? Have you seen a glasses free TV? If there was a successful glasses free TV, why would you want to wear glasses that reduce resolution and cut down brightness? Excuse me for asking but I don't get what you're saying.

I like it,it's good to have another option,I do prefer 2D but like I say, when I have this option it is a welcome change at times.
I have had my 3D set over a year and have only bought my second 3d film,I think that is half the battle, not enough big releases out there, unless you are into animation movies there is a limited choice. But having watched Titanic the other day it has gave me the 3D buzz again and I have just asked my brother to get me Avatar 3D for my birthday. IMO these two releases alone near make it worth having a 3D set. |

I was looking at Hugo earlier,I can pick it up now for a good price,I don't know what the film is like but read a lot of good reviews about the 3d aspect of the movie.

Hugo is an excellent movie and an excellent use of 3D. If you can get it for $20, snatch it up!

However, at home, there were some times when it seemed like my eyes were starting to hurt from watching 3D. Even during one movie. However, that was either because I was tired or the way the lights were or weren't on in my room. I did eventually notice I can't watch 3D all the time like I thought I could. I need breaks from it ocassionaly. I never actually tried watching it all the time. I don't have that many 3D movies yet. However, I know it from what happened above. The only time I recall my eyes ever hurting from 3D at the movie theatre was the scene in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore where the cats are high on catnip. And a bit after that. And that was definitely the movie's fault. Not the 3D's fault. |

Hey Everyone, I am new to this 3D stuff. I just updated my TV to a Panasonic 3D TV, It is a 65" Panasonic Plasma, Model #- TC-P65ST30, with a set of Panasonic 3D Shutter Glasses, Model #- TY-EW3D3M. I have already watch one 3D movie in 3D, (Pirates Of The Caribbean), and the movie was just OK, to me. Jsut didnt seem to 3Dish to me, some parts were. But, I read online that you can do certain calibrations or picture settings to your TV to make the 3D pop out even more. Does anybody know how to do that? I have my picture settings right now set to "VIVID" I was told to put in on Cinema, but the picture just seems way to dark when I do that.. Anybody know about this? Thanks so much. Tom
