Thanks. Extremely dissapointed it isn't a typical fatboy limited. Wild Things deserved that treatment, but Fear didn't? Or Even 12 Monkeys? Arrow must hate Gilliam.

Hell yes!

I've been kind of obsessed with this film lately, I watched it probably 3 times last year, plus all the commentaries on the Criterion edition. I watched the Hunter Thompson commentary twice – that one's the best. I guess it's a Criterion exclusive though since it's not included here.

Since I missed it the first time around I was very much hoping that Arrow would upgrade their remastered LE to 4K, as they are in the habit of doing, and I'm pumped to see that hope come true.

That said, it is quite disappointing that this doesn't have the 2nd disc from the original Arrow LE, containing the "For No Good Reason" documentary, plus the poster and packaging bells and whistles:

• On the first disc, Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride: Hunter S. Thompson on Film, a 2006 documentary on the author featuring Depp, del Toro, Gary Busey, Harry Dean Stanton, Bill Murray, Sean Penn, John Cusack, and others

• Also on the first disc, Hunter Goes to Hollywood, archive footage of the author filming his cameo in the film

Everything on the second disc, including

• HD 1080p Blu-ray presentation of the film For No Good Reason, with 5.1 & 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio options, and optional subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing

• The short film, Cherrywood Cannon

• Ralph's Art

• Extended interviews with Terry Gilliam, Richard E. Grant and Bruce Robinson for For No Good Reason

• Deleted scenes from For No Good Reason

It’s probably a licensing thing, those documentaries have had other releases but it’s nice having them in one place and makes the UHD less attractive (especially when the BD LE went down to £15 and had a longer booklet.) Have Arrow UHDs dropped extras before?

I just watched this again last week and said man this NEEDS a 4k! Sure enough here we go! Took a bit to get Arrow over to the UK version (wish there was a way to see and order from both easily instead of clearing stuff) the last time I was on it, so I just keep it to UK now.

But thanks for the heads up with the 2 for $40 sale, got this, Hills Have Eyes, Tremors and Children of the Corn, three movies I've been holding off buying since there has been so many new 4ks recently.

If Criterion touches it (which is pretty much a given, I believe) then you get Pixelogic-o-vision with a dash of DNR. So it comes down to importing this or waiting for that.
