I've never seen a skinny dwarf before? Even if they are young...

I'm pretty disappointed with Kili. He doesn't look like a dwarf at all to me. Fili is okay.

This is the first dwarf with who I'm disappointed, although, I wish they'd get some color into their costumes.

I'm beginning to fear that the cool handsomeness of Richard Armitage is going to be what we see, not Thorin Oakenshield.

Is this movie going to be another 3+ hour bloated affair or a more sensible film at 2+ hours?

Since it's going to be two movies,I think it's fair to say it'll be a 5+ hours total

Yea, one hour involving Smaug attacking Laketown, and then 'The Battle of Five Armies' will probably last a full two hours.

Seeing as the three+ hour bloated affair is still better than damn near every movie
released, including Fight Club, I say "Does it matter?"

It'll be interesting how they do the Bilbo finds The Ring scene although I wouldn't be surprised if they reused the footage from FOTR and photoshopped Martin Freeman's head over Ian Holms's like they did in Blade Runner for Joanna Cassidy over the stunt woman.

Those characters look great. I know nothing of the Hobbit book. Is it more 'serious' or does it have a more 'lighter tone' than the LOTR?

Much more lightly.Hobbit is a children's book which is as good to read old as young It is under a quarter in pages compared to LotR.So I am not too sure I understand PJ's megalomania when it comes to running time.I would be happy to get 1 movie around 2 1/2 hours running time to be honest. If you like reading,I highly recommend the Hobbit.Very easy and enjoyable read. One of my favourite re-reads in my library.

Bombur is described in the books as being enormously fat. So it's a pretty accurate depiction of the character.

Yea, you can tell by that huge dinner spoon that he is carrying along with him there.

BTW, why the hell are these Dwarf reveal pictures getting smaller and smaller?
