I would have given up hope entirely for this movie if Gollum got into a sword fight with Bilbo.

as if people needed any more incentive to watch the movie, Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday that the first nine minutes of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness will debut on roughly 500 IMAX screens starting Dec. 14...the 3-D footage will play in front of IMAX exhibitions of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

This is well done. And a good way to kill a few minutes.

I know the question is difficult to answer, but I was wondering if I was to book tickets for the film in IMAX 3D, and then they announce the HFR 48 fps, is it likely that it would be a separate booking to see the film in HFR 48 fps? Or, will it more than likely be the same IMAX 3D screening I am booking?

I just don't wanna book tickets (before they sell out), and then a few days later there be an announcement of a separate HFR booking! HaHa.
This is just a guess: I think they will be separate bookings. Every place that has both IMAX and 48FPS, has them listed separately, never the same. See below:

I read on a norwegian newspapersite that Beorn-played by Mikael Persbrandt-has been moved to the second movie. That leaves me to believe that the end of the first movie will be
[Show spoiler]the escape from the wolves and goblins,or-more likely-at the gates of Beorn.

We'll see in a months time I guess.
