exactly, Fergie caved in to him once. IMO hes a selfish tw-t, saying united have treated him badly, what a joker. Hes not as fit as he used to be, and it shows, so what does he expect.

it will be a tough match villiam but uefa allowed them to play in the playoff which is mad because if they go through they can still be kicked out of the champions league.

Yeah the powers to be seem to struggle at times to make sensible decisions.
I think they will be allowed to continue in the competition but you's will be too strong for them but I'm sure you's would have preferred something just a tad easier.

Guys, especially Tob, do we have a blackout rule on this thread (and if we already do, can some regular poster here put it in their Signature as to alert new readers).

What I mean is that what practice guideline are we using not to discuss the matches (not just the score but, even any hints as to what happened which could spoil it for others). Is it something like 2 hr., 6 hr., 24 hr. or more? Or, are people supposed to use spoilers? I’ll defer to you alls preference, as I can’t predict when I, personally, will be watching the various matches because it is so variable…running from one hour later to over 2 weeks post match.

But all I’d really like to know is what the *rule* or *guideline* is so that I can avoid this thread after a certain amount of time if I haven’t yet watched the respective match. I’m sure it is unintentional but I’ve come here more than once *too early* and read the comments by those who have already seen and posted things about the match(s) which have ruined my future viewing .

I'm not aware of any such rules Penton but it is certainly a good idea so nothing is spoilt,I'll leave it up to tob to decide since he started the thread but I would suggest spoilers rather than nothing being mentioned in the thread in regards to it's actual topic.

I don't mind what rules people put up for those who don't know the score. what I will do starting with the premier league matches at the weekend I won't post in this thread until Monday and every Monday after.

It’s not just the scores Tob. If I read for instance someone says “van Persie played great”. To me it means that he most likely scored, so that when I do get around to watching that match, I’m sensitized to waiting/expecting that van Persie will make a goal and it sort of ruins the thing for me.

I don’t mind spoilers at all, just as long as people use them religiously and we all know that they have to be used, say for xx hours or xx days after the match so the rule on the timeline of moratorium is clear. Like I said, I don’t care if it’s one hour or one week, just so long as I know when I should be careful in coming here to read something.

I hope we all can decide this by the weekend or if everyone simply defers to you for final judgment, it just gets done…i.e. we have a clear protocol that everyone (hopefully) follows. Fact of the matter is, this is the primary reason I avoid all the sports threads on forums, when I don’t get to watch the match/game live on the day. I don't know what I'm going to read..when I'm going to read it.
