So, you think Rooney and Mata will start in midfield?

What I meant is it may help the boards hand when negotiating a new deal. If Rooney holds them to ransom for ridiculous terms (personally I don't think he is as good as he used to be) they may settle for Mata and another replacement. No one player is bigger than the club.

No I don't think Rooney will be in midfield,I think you lose too much with him there and I know he doesn't like playing there.

If we assume that him and RVP are fit then I think he will start with those two up front with Mata behind which brings me back to my point about losing out in the two wide men which has been the Utd way.

We still need more players and honestly the only one I would keep out of the current midfield would be Januzaj.

I understand but he is not good enough and sunderland can't afford to carry a player like that in the team.
