Well that was mentioned some time ago tob,as far as I believe there was a fall out,to what degree I'm not sure but there certainly appeared to be a split in the camp.

Alex ferguson wouldn't have survived at United with the current mindset. It took several years for him to trully make his mark.
Them days are gone and in the modern world of football you do not get the time that Alex Ferguson had , united had to act not just a football decision but also a business one.

Last season was far from the worst Utd team I have saw,yes the midfield was weak but it had been for years,we could win the PL with that team but it's why we fell short in Europe, that and we twice came up against one of the best sides ever in Barcelona.

Moyes had two transfer windows to address the problems and he didn't.

As for what the future holds who knows,I said a few years ago that City were going to dominate the PL with the money at their disposal and they haven't even come close,Liverpool on the other hand still seemed quite a bit short of having a team capable of winning the league, there you go,it appears they will have as many Premier League titles as City.

Utd will be back as long as they have the right man in charge, yes they have to be given time but it has to be the right man in the first place!
Can we take Liverpool serious contenders for the future I don't know it looks to be their title this season but as a club to dominate in the future I can not see it.

No one could have done a better job with this ragtag of a team this season. It's a shame they didn't give him a real opportunity to prove himself, but that is the state we're in nowadays. Lest we forget, Fergie himself was on the verge of being sacked almost 30 years ago, and only because they won that FA Cup he was able to keep his job back then.
I still think Moyes is a very good manager, and if given a proper chance in a less stressful environment, he can excel.

I'm not sure but they will strengthen so who knows,City seem to hit and miss,Chelsea will get better also, when they sign a decent striker but I'm sure Liverpool will challenge again, dominate?maybe not.

People must not compare the united today to the united of yesterday.in ferguson's era you would get time in the job even with a big club but not today united are a brand and what happens on the pitch has a affect off the pitch with the club on the stock market.
The glazers didn't trust moyes with the huge amount of money the club needs in the summer to improve and they had to act now and to bring in a experience man who could.

No denying it. But it has damaged football Tob there is no question. It also strangles the potential for promising English managers as clubs just cherry pick the best managers from Europe and beyond. It's kind of sad.

I don't see any English manager who would be able enough for the united job steedeel so it has to be a foreign manager.

There's not too many clubs in the Premiership who can claim to never having a foreign manager,Utd are one....what English managers would you recommended?

You can be mad all you want, but that lineup of yours is pretty crappy. You're way overrating them if you think they actually had a chance for winning any kind of hardware, let alone finish in the top 5 at the end of the season.
And you and I definitely disagree about Moyes, so we'll just agree to disagree about him.

That's my point. Will young managers even get the chance several years from now at a top club? Young British managers?

I'm not mad.
If Fergie had still been in charge of that squad that won the league last season you are saying they wouldn't finish in the top five?that's balls!
And how am I overrating them? Hardware??? Talking to an American about football is like talking to a woman!

If their good enough why not but the talent has to be there,Moyes got a great chance but he blew it,I'm sure if another manager proves his worth in the future then he too could land a top job....Rodgers did.

First off, I'm not an American. I'm European just like you. Second of all, you don't have to be an @sshole just because someone has a differing opinion from yours. And no, Ferguson probably wouldn't have finished in the top 5 with this exact lineup and no RvP most of the season.

Good point steedeel as Villiam said a good example of a british manager at a top club [ cough ] is Brendan Rodgers Liverpool.
But top clubs like Arsenal , Chelsea , Man. City I can't see british and irish young managers ever get that chance now or in the future.

So you move to The States and pick up the accent and lingo, cool,ha.

Anyway, back to your point,I'm not been an *******,the same team, minus RvP lost the league on the last day of the previous season on goal difference only, that team you are saying under Fergie wouldn't finish in the top five.

Yeah LOL!!

Was looking forward to this game, but yet again Mourinho's teams are like watching paint dry.

Looks like Cech is out for Sunday
