Senderos is a mistake waiting to happen on a football pitch.

They need Benteke fit and banging in the goals next season to avoid another relegation battle

Wonder when we are going to start signing players. We have got rid of plenty though! It's hilarious how deluded newcastle fans are. They think they have pulled a huge coo by signing Colback. He is a average midfielder who only passes sideways. Did ok for us last season but hardly inspiring. I even included him in the list of players I wanted out at end of season lol.

Was reading a article on Colback saying he is one of the most unrated players in the prem.

4m bid for Ashley Williams rejected by Swansea.

Well, I am fully qualified to comment having watched him for several years up close. Colback is nothing more than average. If he had joined west ham rather than newcastle, fans couldn't have cared less. It's just the traitor thing that have us talking.

My assessment of Colback is that he is hard working, but his passing is average. He doesn't have that killer pass ability and is more a defensive midfielder. Having said that, he doesn't offer much protection to our back four as he is often overrun by any above average midfield. He has scored a couple of important goals this season but he is not a goal scoring midfielder either.

If we had lost Cattermole, I would have been gutted. Colback? Good riddance.

Oh, by the way, you will read a lot of articles in the future saying Colback is better than some people think. He really isn't, he is as average as the journalists who are trying to stir up trouble between the two north east giants.

Haven't seen him play enough but any time i did see him play he looks a tidy player, don't think playing left back helped him once Poyet moved him to CM it suited him more.

Don't rate Cattermole dunno what he offers a team just reckless. He gives everything but you need talent to go with that aswell.

He started at CM. played most of his career there. I have seen him play enough and he is/was part of the problem rather than the solution.

Cattermole has been outstanding. We went from treating the ball like a hot potato to changing our style and playing controlled, patient football (under Poyet) Cattermole's errors were a casualty of that change in style. It must have been tough, especially for a team bottom of the league to suddenly start playing from the back and using the ball better. Cattermole was a major driving force behind us staying up. His drive, ferocity in the tackle and improved passing spurred us on and he got the loudest ovation I have heard in a long time when he came off against west brom.

I had a discussion with some guy the other week about him getting sent off and being a liability. I asked him how many times he had been sent off this season. His reply? Four times! The truth is that he has seen one red card all season. I will defend this player to the hilt and he would be the first name on my teamsheet. It is my believe that he will grow even more next season.

He is the type of player that suits Sunderland well and i expect him to improve more under Poyet.

Agreed Tob. He never hides, unlike some players we have had in last few years. I love him here.

I like him. Not sure about twice the player. Maybe I will agree in a couple of seasons. Ironically, I think Swansea will go for him if Williams signs for us.
