I think he will have an influence on everyone. Hopefully we have a plan in place for his successor. Great news though, I hope we can get the ball rolling now transfer wise.

Wasilewski has extended his contract for one more season! And included in the contract is that he could extend it for one season further than that if he wanted. Very very happy with the news. Wasi is a bit of a brute at times, but when you're a squad like Leicester you need someone like that at the back. Make him Captain if it is to be his last season.

Brilliant news for Sunderland supporters but isn't it a concern it's only a one year deal. Would you not be happier with a long term deal with a younger manager?

I think Dick will advise the club on potential replacements. The thinking may be, let's get mid table next year and the year after, reap the benefits of the new tv deal. Hopefully, by then we will have a plan in place to improve further. I think it's obvious that what we are seeing is the 'Quinn effect' a player/personality that comes to the club and is genuinely stunned by the support and the feel of the North east. I think the potential for this place is incredible and never has the term 'sleeping Giants' been more appropriate. 44,000 average crowds, 6,000 away following etc.. I think Advocaat has seen this and the temptation to be part of it is too much.

I wonder will the one year deal affect players coming in?

Few reports saying we could get up to 6M for Coates.

I heard 4 million and no higher. To be honest 6 is too much.

I'm going 3-1 Barca, think first 30mins will be tight but i can't see Juventus keeping the front 3 quiet all night.
