Next season we could have Klopp Liverpool, Wenger Arsenal, Guardiola City, Mourinho United and Sam Allardici at Sunderland.

Some great managers.

Sorry Steedeel had to be done haha

But don't forget if u do buy in January if can have two effects, push u on and u get a champions league spot or worse upset the team who have worked this hard to get here and they see a big name coming in on 30 40 50 grand a week more may upset some in the squad.
I have found a system that works in Ultimate team. Got Bale, Neymar, Augerro, Toure and top defence lol.

Your second point, I think it's a gamble that has to be taken. Once the others have strengthened I can see them pushing on.

To be honest, we need to keep hold of Allardyce for the championship. I think he will take us back up. The fear is that itchy trigger finger Ellis Short (IMO) will strike again.

Palace smashed their wage structure to get Cabaye and it hasn't upset the apple cart - yet. Anyone who would be agitating for more cash is more likely to be leaving anyway, I think this will be Bolasie's last season for us (he's hinted at moving on, playing at the top level etc etc several times before).

In Leicester's case, I say go for it. Don't overhaul the squad but bring in a star name or two, the lure of potential Champions League football will snare many a decent player. Heady days.

That is a good point about Cabaye he came to Palace because of Pardew and has found his form under him again that he had at Newcastle.
Pardew will have a tough job in the summer to hold that team together but as you say Geoff i can see Bolasie going and i think a few others.

What surprised me about Cabaye is his work rate, I thought he'd be your typical 'luxury player', swanning about all game only to pop up with a single bit of match-winning quality, but according to an article in the Mail today (about Leicester, Palace and Watford gatecrashing the Premier league party, amazingly enough) his rate of tackles and interceptions in midfield is only bettered by some fella from Leicester.

I hate Costa after tracking his 'off the ball' aggression when I isolate solely on him while watching a match.

I want to see Eva back strutting his stuff in the Prem.

I hope Arsenal takes the title but I love the fact that money doesn't buy *happiness* and that work rate, discipline, pace and team spirit can sometimes prevail over 'world class quality' (i.e. Manchester City, Chelsea), so I wouldn't at all mind if Leicester prevailed at the end.

I hope Steed's black cats don't go down because I remember hearing somewhere that the TV contracts for next year's Prem season are very BIG...so it would be the worst season for them to drop down.

I want to see Eva back...did I mention that?

Unlike the horsesh*t I see perpetually posted over the internet, including on other parts of this forum, it’s been an absolute joy for me to read this thread, so, thinking of you (from above)….

And all football followers while I watch the hectic Holiday slate of matches over the next couple weeks……wishing best of luck and Merry Christmas to all the supporters of their respective teams. Geoff, I’d post a personal pic of the Eagle if I had one.

Everyone keep singing, no matter what be your favorite chant of the week ….

Anyone catch that press thing that Van Gaal walked out from? He isn't helping himself doing stuff like that. Reminds me of Pearson last year, I wanna see Van Gaal call people ostriches.

I saw it to be fair the man was angry with the press for the rumours they reported on linking Mourinho with the United job.
He was right to say what he had to say to their faces and i have to admit he has my respect for what he did.

No Wickham or Bolasie for Palace today, we'd do well to get a point at Bournemouth. Still, we've gone up a place in the table anyway with Utd losing 2-0.

Wow Leicester were absolutely dominated in that game. It's easy to just take the credit from the other team and say you handed it to them on a plate through your own mistakes, but this time I have to give full credit to Liverpool who didn't just shut us down, they neutralised us all together. Probably the only team we've faced this season which matched us like for like on pace, intensity, conviction etc The only question I'm really asking is what was Rainieri thinking with those substitutions? Playing a striker for the first time all season, taking off a player on top form for him, while we're struggling and behind?!
