People are saying that Palace are looking tired, the Christmas fixture pile-up has kicked their arses because Pards' counter-attacking style needs explosive pace and we've barely been able to rotate the squad with the injuries we've suffered recently. It's caught up with us big time and I wonder if Pards shouldn't switch to a plan B for a few games, try and grind out results the old fashioned way by putting big men all over the park and kick the opposition off it, other managers always get in little jibes about our 'direct play' anyway so why not have it actually be true for a change instead of just sour grapes? |

As a Utd fan,I am bitterly disappointed again! For the first time in a long time we looked like a good team going forward but were we once were water tight at the back,we have started leaking goals. On a plus note,Rooney looks as if he might be hitting a bit of form.....now we just need about another eight to follow suit. |

How can LVG hold onto his job through everything? Smaller clubs, with smaller managers, who did far less have probably gone through about four or five managers in the time you've held onto LVG through everything. While it's refreshing to see something in the Premier League willing to ride the waves for a while and not just use the quick manager fix, how much more evidence do they need to suggest that LVG just isn't working?

I just don't think the board will panic, yes we should be doing better but all of the "big clubs" would be saying the same thing,I think the standard in the league has dropped considerably. I think he will be away in the summer,we won't win the league but a top four finish will suffice and we will have to change it around in the summer. I personally would like to see Giggs given the chance but I'm still not sure the heirachy at Old Trafford will take a gamble at this stage,Pochettino(sorry Blu Lemmy) has been mentioned,if anyone, that's who I would be happy with. I'm not including Guardiola as I think the City job is a done deal and he won't be there that long anyway,I think we could get a few more years out of Mauricio who I rate highly. |

![]() Yeah, I thought that was it when Rooney scored but Newcastle are showing a lot of spirit. As far as my club are concerned, that is a very bad sign. |

Still, whenever Palace get stuffed I just have to look elsewhere and I'm reminded of Palace's rivals who are (even) less fortunate. Charlton got battered 5-0 away and Brighton lost 2-0 away to the mighty Rotherham to continue their slide down the table. Excellent.

With the way Ranieri has Leicester plan under him, I find it increasingly harder to judge whether Leicester are playing well or not. We don't have much possession, we don't really play "beautiful football" if you will we just seem to lurk about and wait for teams to make mistakes or switch off and then we pounce.
On the one hand its a great strategy because our attacks are usually very convincing, even when they come from nothing and because they come from seemingly nothing we catch teams on the left foot and force them to scramble into position. If you play a beautiful game, you're just telegraphing your movements, and Leicester doesn't have that. But on the other hand it's a damn dangerous game too as we literally allow the other team to control the game and hope that our chance will come eventually and as seen in the last few games, that hasn't always been the case, especially as we are so prone to make mistakes ourselves. Especially in crucial junctures. |
