Big rebuilding job in the summer and the UEFA Cup is our only hope of getting Champions League football.
Admittedly I've not followed Liverpool's season all that closely but we've never looked the same after you utterly outclassed us at our own game on Boxing Day so I find it hard to believe your season is going better. It's one of the strongest performances I've seen from any team all season.

We blow hot and cold and are not consistent enough lack any leaders on the pitch and have too many similar type players.

I could name 10plus players who should be out the door come summer time, Klopp has seen enough by now to know these players aren't good enough. Spending 32.5m on Benteke 25M on Lallana who hasn't scored since May shows how awful our recruitment is. Every man and his dog knew Benteke wouldn't suit Lpool we don't play long balls and cross the ball from wide because we don't have a decent winger.

I rate Sakho highly when he's fit he would be first choice left sided CB then we go and blow 20m on Dejan Lovren who plays the same
Position just poor recruitment.

Top GK a right sided CB a good holding midfielder two good wingers and a top striker is what we need no more middle table signs hopefully this summer.

Hot and cold is a major theme in the EPL this season, it's all still up for grabs if someone could just put a solid run of 8-10 games together. I hope we haven't put Citeh on the right track, although Chelski's demolition of us hardly heralded a new dawn for them so we may have also flattered the blue Mancs with our ineptitude.

Yeah that is very true. The hot and cold nature of the big clubs around us has been our lifeline really, if we can still pick up at least one point from every game it might well keep us into this until the very end.

What, to pick up a single point for every game for the rest of the season?

I haven't followed your season all that closely, but you're in a good place on the table and within reach of Top Four because the table is so tight so I wouldn't lose hope.

There's very little room for hope or expectation, being a Palace fan. As soon as you start believing, you get turned over by Sunderland and Villa and get tonked by the big boys which tends to put you in your place. There's just the sickening realisation that you're on the Palace rollercoaster and there's no way to get off the ride.

16 points from here would give us a total of 47, that was enough to finish 11th last season (we just scraped into 10th) so yes, I'd still bite yer hand off. Palace just aren't ready to play with the big dogs yet.

Well time will still tell whether that is true of Leicester as well. I know it can be hard to see with our position, especially if your own club is going through a rough patch, but points aside it's been a long time since I saw a truly convincing win from the boys. By the end of the season we'll be able to honestly say whether it was just a combination of flukey luck and the fact that for whatever reason, all the big clubs are looking extremely off with no easy fixes or whether it really was on our backs.

Leicester's amazing run has been no fluke, and with that comment I realise why you're so despondent at times: it's precisely because you've been playing so incredibly well that it's hard to watch them stumble. But it ain't over 'til it's over.

Yeah it's like I've always said, we started the season in such fashion that it feels like Ranieri has slammed the brakes on by comparison. We changed our football pretty much as soon as Liverpool beat us at our own game on Boxing Day but I've tried every angle and I just can't understand his caution. This is not the point in the season where you park the bus and scramble to hold onto your points, we need to keep pushing.

It may not have been pretty, but it was 3 points that we needed.

Watford were rubbish. Their bubble has well and truly burst!

For a new promoted club though, you've gotta give it to Watford, they've had a fantastic season.

Not if they slump badly now. They can still be caught. They looked woeful last night. I can see them losing a few now.

That's four league losses on the bounce for them Steed, Palace have lost three (soon to be four on Saturday), I think some teams are just running out of steam. But given the points that Watford have amassed so far they'd only need another three wins to get to 38 and I think that will be enough to stop up this season.

I was just I a bit of a mood last night. I was having a go at Watford lol! It just seems all the teams around us keep getting points meaning we can't get out of the bottom 3 before we play the horrific fixtures in February. I can't see us getting out of this now. On top of all that we are trying to sell our best keeper lol. Got to laugh.

Yeah, I kinda got that vibe from those posts. Pantilimon's gone now unfortunately. I didn't see that coming.
