It's a little sidebar in the main spread in the paper today, I don't think there's an online link to it. (But if you want to know how he feels about FFP in general just google 'martin samuel FFP' and you'll get a fair few older articles pop up.)

Best of luck tonight Steed!

STEEDEEL!

What a way to confirm safety. What a way to end your rivals. You must be on cloud nine right now brother! I think I'll get the beers in for us both.

Yessssss, well done Steedy! I wasn't much worried about tonight for some reason, I don't think you could've had a softer opponent than Everton TBH, they're coming apart at the seams. Could've had 5 or 6 goals as Fat Sam said, it was an outstanding performance.

See you next season mate!!

Tenth season in premier. Boy can I not take any more stress!

Thanks for your support mate. The season ended up great for both of us. (Although it's more relief for us!)

Congrats on whopping our asses Steed. I guess it was the final nail in the coffin for Martinez, as the team has totally quit on him. I'm glad you guys staved off relegation once again.
It must be tough having to go through this every year. Damn.

Martinez was probably gone at the end of the season anyway but - and I say this with the greatest of respect Steed, you know I don't think much of my lot either - getting walloped by Leicester as they canter to the title is one thing, getting thoroughly outclassed by Sunderland is another matter entirely and you knew he was gonna be given the tin tack after that.

For the first time in five years, the feeling here is that we have a manager who can take us further. He has done fantastically well in the transfer market and like him or loathe him, he knows his stuff.

As for Everton, they just didn't want it mate. Body language, effort the lot. I was delighted obviously but that's not the Everyon I know (I'm sure you know better than me though)

Thanks for your kind words, (classy as always) hope you have a better season next year now that the manager is sacked.

Dont forget we just beat Chelsea though Geoff. The fans roared us on last night and that played a massive part as well.

No offence taken though!

We are doing a Leicester next season Geoff. So if you want top spot, tough! You will have to settle for second mate!

Steed - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post12188928

My next piece of humble advice……tell your guys if they keep playing with fire, season after season….one day they will get burned. That said, enjoy the heck out of your summer.

P.S.
If you check the HDR discussion thread, I actually had a feeling/premonition about your *escape* before I got home to watch the match.....which was very entertaining. Also enjoyed Big Sam celebrating the crowd's support while walking off the field at the end.

Trust me, we know!

There is a feeling that we will get it right this time. For once I am optimistic.

Yes, I stayed for the lap of appreciation, it was very funny seeing Big Sam enjoying himself.

Thanks Penton Man.

Sure, I didn't forget the Chelsea result, but you know what I mean.

Still, you're right, Everton didn't come to that game from a vacuum, they must've seen Chelsea get monstered by a spirited performance backed by the nu-school rendition of the Roker Roar - so the way they surrendered was even more unforgiveable [edit] because they KNEW they were in for a fight, they just didn't give a toss.

Yes, they looked like they wanted to pack up before half time. Talking to some Everton lads, none of them fancied even a draw and it was the quietest away support I have ever heard in a premier league game (Everton are normally very well supported)
