Even though we've got Watford in-between Chelski and Arsenal that's no comfort because they're a tough old team to break down and are flying high at the moment.
Yeah, we have them on Saturday Then, it's off to Old Trafford on Boxing day. I know what you are saying as I think the same way about my team. You would think that after ten years in the top flight we would be able to pull off more surprises before march. We cram all our wins into two months and my nerves can't take it! We have been told there is no more money because the chairman (Director) is selling up. It's grim up north lol.

So, do t worry Geoff, compared to us you are flying lol.

As for West Brom, that was a good solid win, they will be fine also. they really are making the most of that squad, which on paper looked like relegation fodder to me.
We've had seasons in the past when we haven't been letting in many goals, but we haven't been scoring goals either (basically, dull play). That's what it has been like at times with Tony Pulis' style of play. However...most of the last few games we have been back to the entertaining play. I can see what you say about on paper it didn't look encouraging, the squad we'd got at the start of the season. But I think we have a good squad at the moment (Brunt, Rondon, Fletcher, Morrison and McClean (or is it McClane?) for example, when on form, can be very good).

Recorded most of yesterday evening's Midlands Today (missed the first 5-10 minutes). The recording started partway through a segment about something regarding Birmingham City (I realise it's off-topic as it's about a Championship side). I thought they had been on a good run until very recently (think they'd lost at least two games in a row). Their manager has been sacked and Gianfranco Zola is Birmingham City's new manager.

Wednesday night's Match of the Day seemed to whizz by. I enjoy the Saturday night edition, even though it seems to drag. Once there have been a few more 'not on the normal night' Match of the Days this season, I'll get used to them. But it did feel strange, Wednesday night's edition. There was one moment when pundits Phil Neville and Alan Shearer (was he awarded a CBE?) had a light-hearted disagreement.

James MClean played for us, fans hate the bloke. First of all for his poppy stunt and then for his childish celebration when he ran up to Sunderland fans after West Brom beat us at your place and tried to provoke us. The guy, IMO, is thick as mince. As a footballer he is rank average.

Craig Gardner also played for us and he is very well liked. Very honest Pro and will never forget when he travelled to a away game on the train with fans when he was injured. He was completely honest and told the club he was homesick after a couple of years and moved to you guys.

Yeah, Pulis is going a good job mate. Getting every drop of quality from the squad and the players seem to enjoy playing for him?

On the poppy issue steedeel i admire his decision not to wear one in our country [Rep.Ireland] we don't do that due to our history and so on with the English.
I can understand other Irish players wearing them when they are playing in the U.K because they want to honour the men including the Irish who died in World War One and World War Two but i don't know if they aware or not it is also a symbol for current war issues that the English are involved in today and that's why James Mclean won't wear one he has said he wear it only to remember all lives lost in the the two World Wars which i can understand.

Heh. If you can hang on against Watford you'll be a point behind us. The only place Palace are flying is back to the Championship.

The West Brom players I mentioned in my post before last were the players I could remember off the top of my head. It's not very pleasant when McClean acts unpleasant (in a recent game, it seemed like he stirred up a situation, winding up another player on the opposing side). I think he refused to sing a national anthem in a match several months ago. And I do remember the poppy incident as well. This is not coming across as me disagreeing with you and Tob, as I have too much respect for fellow football fans to do that. I totally understand what you're both saying.

The team (based on their improvement since the opening games of the season) are playing like they want to play for Pulis. He has done a good job with the teams he has managed in recent years (don't know about before Stoke City and Crystal Palace). This might seem like a daft thing to say, but hopefully Pulis will keep us up this season.

Disappointing result against Manchester United today, but I wasn't expecting us to get much or anything out of the game.

I can't see West.Brom being in a relegation fight this season he has good players there which Pulis is getting the best out of like Rondon for example and he will add to that squad in January so you will be ok this season OceanBlue.

Yeah, I'm going to leave it there OceanBlue. Just realised the discussion about MCLean is probably getting into dangerous ground in terms of the politics etc.. if that's ok with you and Tob, I will draw the line with that discussion?

As for Brom, you will be fine. I'm going to stick my neck out and say 12th place finish.
