That goal by Giroud the other day was definitely a thing of beauty. I replayed it quite a few times. Congrats on the win tob.

After dropped 3 points against Hull (whom we should have beaten handily), I'm glad we picked up three more, especially considering that Wrest Brom is on our asses now.

That was a hell of a game against Liverpool for you today Steed. I watched it because that's the one that was televised here on NBCSN. I'm glad you were able to at least get a point against them. They're a pretty tough opponent at the moment, so getting a draw against them is definitely an accomplishment.
Good win gvortex7.

Happy new year everyone. SAFC are still shit! That is all. Different year, same shit!

Mixed results for us. Congrats to Arsenal on great goal and win, sorry Geoff but Sam will have you well drilled and come the end of the transfer window you will be sound.

West Brom sitting pretty but Everton seem a bit out of sorts, hope you pick up Gvortex.
I know you always mean well Steed but Fat Sam's got his work cut out. Apparently he's won one of his first two games in charge of all the EPL clubs he's managed....apart from Palace of course. I dunno if you watched the game but that's Palace all over: no vision, no movement, terrible passing & crossing, no commitment in tackles, horribly panicky defending, it's bloody excruciating watching this shower.

Arsenal knew exactly what to do and how to do it, e.g. doubling up on Zaha, it's like they had an extra couple of players on the pitch. I KNOW they're a superb team but even so, they made Palace look sooooooo poor that even Allardyce must be wondering how to dig them out of this hole. They've been Pardewed good and proper as they still treat the ball like it's a live hand grenade. GET RID OF IT!!!

Thanks Tob, we deserved the draw, thank goodness for Defoe. 11 goals in such a poor team is remarkable.

Good day for Gvortex and OceanBlue

I don't see it that way Geoff. I think big Sam needs a good transfer window but I have no doubt he will whip you into shape. It's what he does and Palace will be no different. You have a goal scorer in your team also which as I know with my lot, is huge. With the likes of Zaha, Benteke and Townsend, you have players that he can whip into shape and given a few more games I think his vision will Start to take shape. Might it be hairy at times? Yep! Will you go down? Not a chance.

We can't get complacent, but I'm very happy with how we're doing at the moment. You never know what could happen with the remaining 18 games of this season. We could very well finish towards the bottom of the table. Sometimes I prefer to talk in a pessimistic way (but at the same time try to think positive). You better prepare yourself for possible disappointment.

Loved our second goal against Southampton.

Well done lads.
Missed the first three parts of this afternoon's Gillette Soccer Special, so I was surprised when I was told that we were 3-1 up against Hull (it started off with us being 1-0 down). I'm liking that we're not relying on just one or two players to score the goals.

Up next is the third-round F.A. Cup tie against Derby County this coming weekend. There are highlights programmes on BBC One this Saturday and Sunday night.

No doubt all the bottom end clashes will be stuck on the end of the show. No wonder some folk choose to watch illegal streams. 2 mins of highlights bolted on to the end. It's about time full games of our choice were made available on the night of our matches.

....and we go 1-0 down just before halftime. We're at home to Swansea but are scared of our own shadow. Pathetic.

Bloody hell, Bournemouth are 3-0 up! Considering Arsenal made us look like utter chumps I dread to think what Eddie Howe's side would do to Palace right now. And oh look, Benteke's had to be taken off because he's injured his shoulder. Townsend's also been hooked and I'm not surprised, he's a big time charlie who only turns it on when he wants to. We're in so much ****ing trouble.

I am angry because games like this have been in our D.N.A since the last ten years which comes from Wenger that's why we will never come close to be title winners again as setbacks like this will be there every time.
Don't get me wrong i respect Bournemouth and like the way they play and their mentally on things and hope they be back again next season in the premier league they were very good tonight but we don't have that fight and allow teams to dominate us just like when we lost to Man.City, we were afraid to stand up and that will be our downfall every time. if Arsenal fans don't see that then i am not surprised by results like this give the title to Chelsea because we are just pretenders every season.

I would say that I don't get it with Arsenal, but this has happened before (they play a team you think they would beat easily, then the other team scores a few goals against Arsenal). However, Arsenal managed a comeback, with the game finishing 3-3.

I'm glad we got a couple of wins, after the disappointing results against the teams above us (Chelsea and Manchester United were two of the tough games during the Christmas programme). I'm hoping we buy a player or two during the January transfer window.

Great comeback tob!

In other news: Palace = load of old shite. Guess which team only had one away win this entire season before playing Palace at Selhurst tonight? Yep. Other teams, they get a new manager bounce. We get a new manager flatline. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...

Yes, Zaha is our one shining light...but he's off to the AFCON for at least three weeks with the Cote d'Ivoire. It really was fun while it lasted but this team (if I can call it that) is too far gone to rescue.
