It wasn't Villa. It was Leeds, although they are play-off off contenders rather than automatic promotion hopefuls.

They know how to keep their house in order with outgoings, balancing the books etc.. unlike our circus act that knows no limits of stupidity.

I wanted Hull to go through tonight but they at least give it a good go.

It just baffles me how Manchester United for example don't clear their debt first, before being allowed to sign new players.

West Brom signing new players is like waiting for a bus. The last couple of days there have been some names rumoured, but nothing has happened. I won't be too surprised if it's just the one signing in this transfer window. The good thing though is that I believe West Brom are in the black.

He has signed. Now we both know who will score the winner when our sides meet. Absolutely nailed on. Probably last minute free kick.

It relates to overall income so I don't think they will be worried. In fact, we are the only club that even seem to care! Good excuse for Ellis Short anyway!

Reflecting on the Farce at my club, it's proof that we have a team of spineless, heartless pretenders. It's nice to know that we pay a chunk of money every year out of our hard earned wages only for players to spit in our faces by wanting out as soon as things get bad. I am far from alone in feeling this way. Egos are getting out of hand and I think we are seeing cracks appear that may not be fixed. The disconnect with fans is widening at most clubs I feel and we are simply over exposed to football now. It used to be a couple of games a week and excitement levels were high, now, at times, we are seeing games most days of the week. On top of that, Sky has become the Liverpool/Man U show and fans are starting to cancel their subscriptions. All of these issues, plus the corruption scandals are slowly destroying our game and I don't see how that can be fixed.

Or maybe it's just me and I becoming tired of all the bullshit. Maybe it's a age thing? I will always support SAFC but I'm starting to fall out of love with football.

Either that or he'll score an own goal to give you the win...this is Palace, remember?

I do feel for you though, Sunderland are in the mire and there appears to be no end in sight, I'm ashamed that Fat Sam is plundering one of your last remaining players who can walk unaided.

I also agree with your sentiments re: football in general, especially Sky. I mean, it always WAS the 'big four/five/six' show but I thought that with all these extra games they're showing these days the smaller teams might get more of a look-in, but do they? Do they BOLLOCKS.

A Sky sub is like a virtual season ticket for supporters of the big clubs which is fine, they're following the money but when my current special offer finishes (got half price sky sports for 12 months) I'm probably gonna ditch the sports sub. The shine really has worn off and I'm not one of those rabid football nuts who must watch EVERYTHING football related, my sister's husband is such a fanatic he'd even be glued to those old-timer 5-a-side tournaments they used to have.

Thankfully Sky Sports News is now available on one of the main channel packages again, I dunno what my Dad would do without it!

I have liked some of the BT Sport football coverage, even though Lineker presents some of the televised games. He was on the National Television Awards on Wednesday night with Shearer (I think Lineker was nominated for Best TV Personality against Ant & Dec, or Match of the Day was nominated).

Personality of the year? Who was he up against? A loaf of bread?

Yes, I'm done with Sky when we go down. Unless I can get them to half the fee!

He hasn't played for Everton this season apparently lol. Get out of our club Moyes, you useless ******* ******.

Moyes doesn't have the funds available to him steedeel so he can't do much in the market i know there is alot of work to be done with that team but it looks like you have to wait in the summer for change but then again you could have another new manager again.

I know that Tob!

However, we can do better than Darren Gibson. We have just sold a left back for 14 million. There are better championship players than Gibson. He has played 50 games in five years! It's pathetic, he just buys crocks and no hopers. He wasted 20 million on N'Dong and Donald Love/Mcnab. Big Sam saved us with just 15 million. Moyes is sealing our fate with this crap. Oh we are signing the Everton Left back whose name I can't remember at this time lol. He is another crock who has barely played this year. Probably free transfers lol. Shame on you Ellis Short, you are destroying the club with your (imo) shambolic business deals

The money you got from Palace steedeel will that be given to Moyes or does it go back into the club funds.

It will go towards Ellis Shorts retirement fund lol. I wouldn't be surprised if Defoe is sold at the last minute tomorrow night. This club has absolutely no ambition and short is just happy to finish 17th every year. It was always going to come back and bite us. Clubs with 15,000-20,000 crowds can survive just fine while we get 43,000 on a bad day and haven't got a pot to piss in. Makes me sick Tob.

Do we win a Blankety Blank cheque book and pen if we correctly guess what is in the blanks?

On a more serious note, a player we were linked with (Watford player Ighalo) has now gone to a Chinese club for £20 million, and the Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe (one of my favourite current Premiership managers) has apparently said that Callum Wilson is not for sale.

I was wound up! (still am)

By the way, you don't fancy buying Jack Rodwell do you? He will cost a box of crisps and a few cans of Pepsi. Bargain! We will give you change as well!
