Leicester sack Ranieri and the players escape their actions for their awful form.
The club should have stood by Ranieri and instead look at other ways to get these players moving the same ones who won the title and are still living off it what a sad mentally. I said in the past the clubs outside the top six can and have the tools to challenge for the title it they believe in it more. I wonder how many of these Leicester players like Vardy, mahrez and the others will stand up for their actions this season instead of watching a good man and manager leave without saying a word. |

I heard about it tonight from ITV News at Ten with complete surprise.
I was disgusted by the decision being taken by the owners even though I don't really follow the Premier League that much at all. What the hell were they thinking to do that in the middle of a 2 leg match against Sevilla in the Champions League. The owners of the club have completely lost the plot doing this to Ranieri when they are doing very well so far in this competition. Last year's Premier League win with Leicester was a brilliant fairytale from start to finish. Most of that work to make them win the title was Ranieri's from the very beginning when he had his job with the club. And now; because football in the very top elite clubs of the sport is deemed these days as a high risk business; the owners with no real feeling of passion towards managers or fans alike decide a drop of a hat to make one of the most stupidest decisions ever in the history of the sport. The feeling would make you sick to the pit of your stomach that a club like Leicester can even think about sacking a highly esteemed manager in the middle of a major 2 leg match in a major tournament so that they would increase their ambition even further to be more of a successful club in a ruthless, no loss, cut throat business like Football. It has to be said though that Ranieri's time at Leicester has been nothing short of heroic for the club's reputation. I would wish him well in his future career. But now since the title has already been won last year for no scope for further improvement; it's seem Leicester's efforts in this competition & in the Premier League has now gone to waste. I would be very surprised if they had the nerve to go back to restart their winning ways again after doing a vicious stunt like this while getting a new manager on the sly as if nothing has ever happened. I wouldn't be surprised if the club had gone to relegation by the end of the season. They are of no loss to me if they go down path of destruction later on. I would say good luck in their eventual demise; they are going to need it with their impending failing luck coming at their side. Last edited by dublinbluray108; 02-24-2017 at 12:50 AM. |

Did you see today's press conference? He looks like a broken man, and he made it quite clear that the players simply aren't doing what he wants them to do, talking about how he couldn't have managed at this level for so long if he didn't know what he was doing. He's tried doing various things to psyche his players up but he's so fed up that he's stopped the kidology, now he's saying outright that the players simply aren't playing for him. Palace are ****ed.
As for Leicester, the reports of the players crying foul to the owners is an absolute disgrace. These guys were shaped into a world-class unit last season, I didn't see them b*tching when they were busy winning the title. But they've come into this season thinking that they're still world beaters and reality has soon delivered a kick to their collective knackers. Instead of looking into themselves and dragging out some small semblance of the form they had last season they're carping and moaning that Ranieri's lost the plot. What a bunch of tarts. So, Mourinho wins the title, gets sacked the next season. Ranieri wins the title, he gets sacked the next season. Conte had better get a few job options lined up for this time next year! ![]() |

What happened to Ranieri is definitely a disgrace to both the team as well as the sport as it stands today. Last year that team overachieved like no other in the history of the sport, as they had no business winning the EPL. But against all odds they did just that. So naturally this year the expectations became unfairly high by the ownership and fans alike, and of course the team failed to live up to that pretty much from the get go. So what do they do? They let go of the architect of their most successful period ever. It makes all the sense in the world. This sport is quickly going down the tubes.

Cheers tob. It's a rare day that we get a win, a clean sheet, AND everyone around us lost or drew (with Leicester to play Liverpool on Monday).
But I look at our run-in and I'm bricking it, I don't mind saying. In no particular order, we've still to play Spurs, Arsenal, Man U, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, with games against West Brom, Soton, Watford, Leicester, Burnley and Hull in-between. West Brom are flying (well done Ocean!), Southampton could go either way so that means we simply HAVE to win against those last four I mentioned. That'd be 34 points, which may yet be just enough with a couple more points sprinkled on top. This is gonna be so close! |

My spirit is crushed, I just want this season over with. I also think we should have sacked Moyes by now. The guy just doesn't motivate and seems to me to have the personality of a wet fish. The players, well don't get me started. Too many who shouldn't be playing at this level. Billy Jones, Rodwell, Larson are all well gone.
Just want this season to end. ![]() Well done Gvortex, painful to say though! ![]() Congrats Geoff, huge win for you. Especially against relegation rivals. Well done Ocean also. |

Thanks mate. I'm sorry. I hate it when some of our successes have to come again your squads in here. Especially yours fighting for its EPL life at the moment. I hope it was a good game at least. I didn't have a chance to see it unfortunately.
