Ugh, that game last night was the perfect cure for insomnia. Typical Jose parking the bus, even before they were reduced to ten men, although I agreed when he called Aguero "smart" as it looks to me like Aguero is the one who actually nuts Fellani, but naturally he hits the deck like he'd been shot.

![]() As for tomoz, Burnley not having won away ALL FREAKIN' SEASON makes me a lil' bit nervous, given how Palace love to oblige teams and/or players when they're on a godawful stat or run. We should win it, but now I'm doubly nervous because Lawro's also tipped us for a win, and no doubt the Soccer Saturday crowd will do the same. ![]() Best of luck all. ![]() |

Ugh. See what I mean about tipping Palace to win? The bookies, the pundits, whenever they all gang together it usually means one thing: a big old L for Palace. Sure, I think we're safe as it stands but the boys look so tired and Burnley have executed their game plan perfectly, nicking a goal, breaking up the play and looking dangerous whenever they break. Oh, and Benteke's picked up another nothing of a yellow card (like that "dive" against Liverpool

Second Burnley goal goes in. I hate it when people tip us to win. Absolutely ****ing hate it. That airshot from Remy on the edge of the area summed up the performance nicely: huge misfire.
Dyche's lot have been excellent though, they've niggled and frustrated Palace almost from the start, however the ref has been DIABOLICAL. I know that's just the usual sour grapes coming from Geoff but **** me, Mr Magoo would've been better than Bobby bloody Madeley. Colossal jackass. Oh well, only Man City next up. Easy. ![]() |

Devastated Tob. Not for yesterday, as we all knew it was coming. Just for the way it has all been allowed to degrade, gradually over the last 5 years. Lessons have not been learned and I am fuming at the weak, weak transfer windows of recent seasons. Pathetic, bettered by a club (yesterday) who can't even attract 20,000 fans. These clubs survive just fine, while we pack out the stadium (normally) and find ourselves in the Championship. If that muppet stays in charge, we won't be coming back up either.

Swansea nab a point at old Trafford. Six points the gap from them to Palace with three games left. One more win will do it for us even if Swansea win all three of their remaining games, the Hull game always seemed crucial when looking at the fixtures at the start of the season and so it's proved. Gotta win that one as I can't see us getting anything at Citeh.

We're all but safe, but Palace have snatched relegation from the jaws of staying up before (just google Oldham's escape in 1993) and neither Hull nor Swansea have the most troubling of run-ins. But Boro can't catch us now after their result earlier, and three more points for Palace would definitely mean that we couldn't be caught by Swansea, even if they win all three of their remaining games. Likewise, if they lose their next game (Everton, I think?) then that leaves a gap of six points with two to play and our GD is far superior as you say.

Tob, here's hoping that today's result against Spurs means less time with Arsene as manager and/or some meaningful dilution of his power over the club.
I actually rooted for Spurs today, i.e.......cut off an infected leg....to save the body. Last edited by Penton-Man; 05-02-2017 at 07:17 PM. Reason: added the words 'an infected' for clarity to point |
