I received a PM asking if SPE did the work on Shakira: Oral Fixation.

Answer- No. Sony/BMG contracted that out to somebody else-- back east I believe.

And in my race to check out my PM’s looking for anything meaningful like photos from mystic , I see that I’ve received a bunch of PM’s on ………………guess what ?

The WW II (Warner Watch) situation.
Many folks asking if I am truly in the loop on this thing and if it is just another one of those rumors like the one started by that AVS member that came trolling around here on our forum a few months ago perpetrating WW I.

Answer –
This current WW is nothing like the crap posted by that troll (which, if memory serves, I shot down in 15min. or so as per your guys’ request for the truth). This situation has substance.

Yes, I’m in the loop, just as I was when Paramount got mounted ………………

Has quill-pen hit paper(s) yet, you ask?
No, not yet, so keep buying those WB Blu-rays this holiday season and when we look back in retrospect on this situation we can all proudly claim that we won this thing truly on consumer merit- so that the red ants never cry foul as other dominos fall successively.
I will try awfully hard to give you guys a heads-up(with an appropriate YouTube link)- even if it’s just the day before any formal format announcement but, I make no promises.
And please don’t hold your breaths for impending news as things take time.

Anyway, I’ll be super busy again the remainder of this week (and all the way up to CES for that matter) so I’ll be lucky if I can answer only a couple of your upcoming questions over the days ahead.

How has our sister “neutral” forum been since Michael Bay’s and Michael Burns’ news-making comments, which I see in regards to the later made it onto the N.Y. Times- lol, where they are allowed to mention his name in an article?
Is it dead as a doornail over thar?
Have all the red ants scurried down the hole and disappeared for awhile not bothering the few Blu supporters left on that site?

If so, I feel sorry for the administration in regards to the decreased traffic and I might just throw a bone out to the cougar on mhafner’s sticky thread (he seems to be in a quandary as to why so many Uni titles are plagued with edge enhancement artifacts). Now, whether he’ll accept the information/contact gracefully and pursue it, that’s another question.

Anyway later folks, I’ve gotta run.

I’ve been asked if I think that rdjam, the petition man, is a paid MS blogger.
I don’t know and I don’t much care. If he is, they certainly aren’t getting their money’s worth, given the quality. He likes to talk authoritatively on topics that he is absolutely clueless about. I turned him off a couple years back when he was making comments in regards to the effects of the application of grain reduction on 4K DI’s vs. that on 2K DI’s which was the largest load of cow manure I think I’ve ever seen posted on the internet.

Regarding my linked post above, I was commenting upon what has happened in the past at both an individual recruitment level, see –
http://www.sapiensbryan.com/index.ph...-paid-blogger/

and in a more insulated fashion through intermediaries such as Federated Media………
http://www.betanews.com/article/Blog..._Ad/1182798586

I have no reason to believe that the same shenanigans are not happening still in some form or fashion in the high-def optical disc war forums/blogs. These people don’t get religion overnight.

And in regards to any public denials by anyone in the business, I don’t know if you all are old enough to remember talking heads for years (even under oath) stating…..”Nicotine is not addictive.”
Or more recently in the past, one talking head (the one with the hair, as the other would have told the truth enthusiastically, I imagine)…”I did not have sex with that woman---Monica Lewinsky.”
Thanks for the info Penton. I just can't imagine someone spending all the time spreading this BS and FUD, having this website, and all of this without being paid. If he had a REAL job outside of this, how would he have time for all of this crap?

Penton, anything cool to tell us?

And no, I dont expect you to comment on Warners stance, but can you tell me if we should have reason to be excited about CES.

A simple Yes or No will do

Piggybacking on that question, are there any discs that have been repressed without region coding, or are planned to be in the near future?

I have to apologize to highdeforum, as I’ve been informed *I live in a trailer in the desert* on the forum on highdefdigest, which must be another place with a red ant infestation.

P.S.
I’m moving the trailer to Palm Springs in Jan.
Yes High Def Digest is having a lot to say about you over there today. They cannot accept impending doom and the typical morons like messin18 and Rob.D.inToronto are trying their best to use as much misdirection as possible to either change the topic, insult you or insult someone else. How the site lets red ants like messin18, a.k.a. douchebag18, keep insulting everything and anything blu with such constantly degrading posts towards other Blu-leaning posters is beyond me.

The smackdown there is over-run with idiots, but in only a few more months the Blu side will have the last laugh as titles like The Matrix get announced for the first half of 2008 with PIP and exclusivity looms further while more and more CE's announce new players.

It's over for them all, they smell the impending doom of the inferior bandwidth, studio, CE-challenged HD DUD format and it's driving them absolutely crazy - it's very much fun to watch.

Have fun at CES bud.

I noticed an awful lot of posts that started with "But what about" and"But what if" from a very nervous sounding Lee (Fill in da blank). I wonder would M$ actually put $ into a discusion forum /website for the purpose of self promotion? If yes could a certain website, be nervouse about accepting said hypothetical money?

I'm guessing Lee is very nervous right now because he has read Penton Man's comments over here. PM told Lee that the Paramount deal with HD -DVD was looming, and within a day it happened. Lee knows PM doesn't BS, even though he would never admit that in public.

Hey Penton,

Does it specifically have to be WB titles? or are they looking at overall #'s?

-Thanks

Mystik, if you don’t get your Blu-rays, I’ll send you one of only 10 or so made Blu-ray black bomber jackets with an embroidered Blu-ray insignia on the front for those awful cold nights in South Beach.
