If one pre-orders the Lord of the Rings 4K trilogy steelbook version from Best Buy there is free shipping. However, if one wants to pre-order The Hobbit 4K trilogy steelbook version from Best Buy the only option is a store pickup. It does not make sense why one boxset can be shipped and the other has to be picked up in the store.

Apparently Itunes has released some of the movies in 4k. Does anyone have the Itunes versions and if someone does, would it be possible to send screenshots? I'm dying to see what the HDR does for the film ��

Uncompressed screenshots from 4K HDR digital stream is going to be tricky unless you snap via a good camera.

I have no idea if there are any tools for this.

Just give it few more weeks and we should see screenshots from the usual sites and suspects.

EDIT - Ignore that, looks like this IS the North American release. No guarantee other versions will look the same though.

Based on recent Warner Bros. releases, no. I'd wait for shots of the US set.

Does this set import all previous extras found on the previous sets? I sold the extended edition BD set while back.

Also I never seen any of these films and Hobbit films so now I get to experience this in beautiful 4KUHD.

There are no on-disc extras but you may be able to access them through the digital streaming copies.

Just watched unexpected journey on my 65 TCL and wow colors are more natural and fine details pop more I’m expecting this on desolation and battle of five armies amazing job by WB
