Penton, I am not clear as to why HDD would make a report showing online petitions both for saving HD DVD and for letting it die.
Is there any weight to these kinds of petitions at all? I am sure WB knew full well they would upset some early adopters, and these petitions are easily singed multiple times by the same person, which tells me they carry absolutely no weight. So why would a website like HDD make a story on it?

Motor-sickle. Now there's a term from the past. I recall it being used in cartoon series from the '70s called Motor Mouse and Auto Cat. Is that the etymology of the term, or is motor-sickle part of the normal vernacular over here in North America?

well, the non-motorized type of bike is pronounced Bi-"sickle", not bi-"sykle". Maybe it comes from that.

Penton any idea if Disney has started working on LOST season 1 & 2 for blu? It's been said sales for season 3 where high but that it has surpassed even they're own expectations.

Same goes for FOX when are they finally going to give us a release date for 24 season 1

I tend to think of them as donor-cycles, but I am biased on the medical side of things.

If anything, Britney should be endorsing HD DVD, as they are both epic train wrecks.

There's something very disturbing about someone in the medical industry with the joker as his avatar....

Btw, I have one of them "donor-cycles". I love it, but I don't ride like an idiot.

As long as you keep a helmet on your gourd, you're good.

I grew up reading Detective/Batman comics-- one of my first purchases was A Death in the family, and Dark Knight Returns & The Killing Joke are some of my all time faves. Just stuck with me ever since.

I grew up on comics too... In fact, I think I may have all of those in my collection somewhere.

Hey Penton, anything you can do to convince Sony to put Marie Antoinette BACK on the schedule? It was nearly a year ago it got "postponed."

Thanks. Later dude!!!

Let's take a break for a few months and then we'll come up with a new 'challenge' (as you put it), since you said you're not one to back down from a challenge.

In the UK nobody would even consider riding without a helmet, I've never understood the 'right to die' attitude of Harley riders. Besides accidents, a helmet protects against stones, flies, rain, cold, windblast and noise.

Plus you can go faster because you are invincible.

I'd also like to put in a request for Marie Antoinette. I was really looking forward to this movie before it got postponed. It would look great on Blu-ray.

From one on the “Personal Communications” here ……………..

Actually, I have a large staff that submits stuff to me when they get bored walking the picket line in front of the studios.
