I believe Studio Canal went neutral months ago.

ehhh...you probellly have news you just can't give away right now, like upcoming titles from Warner Brothers. Bill Hunt hinted that titles from wb would be announced tomorrow, I am hopeing they put out an Collectors edition of Beetlejuice. But an Paramount announcement could be tomorrow or the next day or the next day. But it does not come as A big suppirse that some retaillers are restocking earlyer titles from Paramount. They will go from being Redneck to being BLU-NECK again.

Penton,

I'm watching Across the Universe right now - beautiful PQ! I think I remember reading something about there being various cuts of the movie...which version was released?

Thanks!

Yeah, I know it is going to be a list of WB titles coming out to blu-ray. Or it can be something completely different...if it is something on Paramount, then GOOD.

Penton,
Is the writer's strike really that close to a resolution?

As a suggestion, stop asking Penton about the strike

I doubt he is in a position to comment in any effective manner about it, legally

Penton,

With all of the titles announced by Warner yesterday, why the need to announce new HD DVD titles?

They are still under contract to release HD DVDs and promote them until the end of May. So you will see them advertising HD DVD a little, but Blu more, until May 31st.

Well it should be the theatrical version which ran about 130 min., if I recall correctly.

Wicky is correct, I can only make generalizations (see my last post) as I was very careful with my wording.
See paragraph 3 here………………….

Nikki can be much more forthcoming and candid on her website (Deadline Hollywood Daily) concerning this issue.

Penton,

Any comments on the alleged discontinuing of certain hardware at certain retailers in March?

Any comments on the retailer info in the first para of this blog?

lol,
Somebody should go back to Insider’s Judgment Day Edition when it was “officially” announced by WB that they were becoming Blu exclusive (or check one of the WB threads in General Discussion) and see how much time transpired after the WB announcement until somebody asked when will Paramount and/or Uni start publishing in Blu.

I wonder if it was a couple of days or just a matter of hours.
