Anyone here from the UK and ordered from Dark Force before?

I placed my first ever order with them around April 4th and the blu-ray was sent April 6th, but still nothing yet. Maybe a customs hold up?

I bought Kill Or Be Killed from them last year, arrived in less than a week.

Sorry for my ignorance. I've tried to go to their store a few times and every time it says its "down for maintenance". Is it ever up? I've read so many negative things about the company, but would still give them a chance if they happen to have some items I'm interested in. However, its hard to tell what they have when the store is never up and running....
DF is David DeFalco's company. They sell Code Red products as part of a deal with Bill, Code Red, to distribute his product after his store was taken down, as he was too ill to be in a position to fill orders anyway and, quite frankly, setting up a new store would have been a waste of his valuable time. When Bill takes the time to take care of himself, which is, for anyone who doesn't know, the most important thing for Bill to do, given what has happened, his health does improve, but Bill tends to do what I do and prioritize work over health when health is the more pressing issue. David's taking over basic distribution was what allowed Bill to take the time that he hadn't been taking, to actually work on his health, right at a time when things were not going well. It was actually very fortunate that they were able to work that out so he would go and take the time to take care of himself. The continuation of that relationship has allowed David to distribute, getting Bill a steady income stream while he is dealing with such terrible health issues. Again, we're all just lucky Bill is taking the time to care for his body. Without Bill there is no Code Red and there is just no one like him in the business.

As to Scorpion titles, Bill, Code Red, and Walt, Scorpion, are, as stated again and again, brothers and typical brothers at that, with love and lots of arguing. They have traded product across their labels, back to when Walt first started Scorpion. The issue of selling Scorpion titles, that Walt no longer had license to sell, arose because of silly legal issues. If Bill paid for stock, years ago, and now is selling it via DF, then he is, technically, selling it like any other reseller or ebay seller. However, if the titles were not paid for first, when first taken from Walt, then Walt is in breach allowing them to be sold after too long. This issue comes up from time to time and is best left for Bill and Walt to work out, as it is none of any of our business.

As to other vendors, David does not sell VS or any other vendors' products, although he does put up some random items in his store that he has, which he can resell, like a DVD set of a season of a tv show. David sells Dark Force (his own productions and his own Blu-ray releases) and he sells Code Red but, on occasion, will sell a Scorpion title that Bill got from Walt years ago. Hopefully that clears that up.

As to when https://darkforcesuperstore.com/ is open, he has taken to opening it on weekends, Friday or Saturday evenings, although he sometimes has it up for a whole week and then skips a weekend, particularly if he is busy on a holiday. He always posts on his Facebook account when the store is opening and when it is going to close. https://www.facebook.com/pg/Dark-For...=page_internal is where you can check on that.

DF's film offerings are all on the site. I highly recommend getting together with a friend or two and seeing if you can split up the $60 vol.1-5 of the drive in series, two films per blu-ray. That's how I did it and the price for my portion just couldn't be beaten. The new films, Dead Pit you mentioned, include Dead Pit in May, then, next, the 6th drive in Blu 2 film disc (still waiting on the second title to be announced), then the release of Point Doom and the release of Mirror Mirror. The restoration on MM took longer than MMII so MMII Raven Dance is already available.

The only other thing you really need to know is to read the listings because David likes to offer multi-packs as deals so, for example, you can expect there to be a MMII and MM double pack where you get quite a nice amount taken off the price of the individual titles, by buying in a bundle. So, read those listings when the site is up.

Good luck, hope this helps.

You should pull out the tracking number and contact the carrier to as them to open a search on the package if it doesn't arrive within the next week. Customs holds are common for around 3 weeks, at random, but that would be about the longest they'd hold it. If you don't have a tracking number, just email David and ask him to pull it up for you, since it is missing. Good luck.

Bill has given a nice talk with David over on the Dark Force Facebook. He sounds good and strong, considering how terrible the situation is. It sounds like he's taking greater care with his health, thank God, going to the doctors and getting the help he needs.

I just started listening and it looks like they did this just about an hour ago. They got right into discussing all the things people have been having questions about, including film specific questions. Tune in guys....

Thank you Bill and thank you David. Remember not to work too hard. (I'm still trying to stick to that one myself.)

Recap if you don't want to watch. No real info. Dead pit and mirror mirror coming soon. Attempts to hype a slipcover as super collectible. Threatens dawn of the discs. Hypes himself as a tough guy. Banana complains. They rewrite history on last victim and screams of a winters night. So same old same old.

No reason for this post to be deleted. Its an accurate recap.

Dark Force needs to have a little suspension for threatening a member of the forum as opposed to deleting the post that pointed it out.

On my daily check of the facebook page, I noticed comments on the last post (I generally don't read them) and there was one featured which was mentioning the issue of the site being up and then down again. This reminded me, several people here have had a variety of ideas about combining releases over time and we've not heard back on the issue of pre-orders for combined shipping.

Has David already considered and vetoed a pre-order option, such as for when he will be releasing a couple of titles over the course of a couple of months, but not at the same time, which would allow for a free-shipping-eligible combination shipment at the end of that two or three month period or is that still being considered?

That's not too creepy, is it?

If anyone else is going there, just look for the neckbeard. That's me.

EDIT (addendum):
After visiting the VS tables (and Severin and Arrow), I'll be sure to search for the DF booth. (you know, since DF and VS are in the same league /sarc).
I wish I had checked this thread earlier, I could've kept an eye out for you near her table.

^^ They’re selling Dead Pit stickers.

I hope they will announce when the actual movie will go on sale. I’m worried it’s just going to just pop up at 1am one night, sell fifty copies, then the store goes down for a week.

little confused by something on the df store. this is a snippet from their shipping policy:

"We ship via USPS at no cost with a 5.00 Flat Fee within the United States."

so...which is it? no cost, or $5 flat fee?

It's clearly both, there is no cost other than a $5 fee.
