Also curious about Drive In #22 with Quadroon/The Velvet Trap.

I have the Code Red blu of Quadroon, though haven't watched it yet. Is there any difference here? Different edit, different transfer or anything to know about?

Oh, I didn't know the Something Weird version was edited. Thanks for the heads up. So I did a little research and all I can find online is the edited version, which runs for 79 minutes. Apparently, the full version was only ever released on vhs in Germany.

Yeah, that's why I was hoping the version on this Dark Force release would be something other than the 72 minute cut. That's probably what it is, but I'm hoping to find differently.

Honestly can't remember at this point. It isn't listed on the box itself. I remember it not looking packed tight with cards though. The way the packs are made look more homemade than from a big factory or something.

I will say, I do love it when titles I've never even heard of get released. These and known, but new to disc titles are what get me excited as a collector, not the endless stream of re-releases. Please keep these type of films coming, Dave.

They are still releasing stuff, Silent Scream was their latest UHD, and they have a new Drive In double feature as well. Their store is down at the moment. If you have Facebook you can follow them for announcements on when the store is open.

Silent Scream was more of a Kino release. Dark Force is still around but barely. The owner decided to engage in courtroom drama with another label, possibly digging his own grave financially. I don't see them being around much longer.

For some reason I thought Silent Scream was a Kino release. I just can't remember the last time I heard of them releasing something new to HD disc, but I guess maybe that Drive In one might be something.

Dark Force partnered with Kino for this one. Pre-orders were available on the Dark Force store initially. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Code Red DVD but the owner was friends with the owner of Dark Force, and they worked together on a lot of releases. Code Red often partnered with Kino but the licenses were with Code Red. Since the owner of Code Red passed away, a lot of their titles have passed onto Dark Force.

The Drive In thing is a line of bluray double features, often of 70s grindhouse films, that were struck from a print. The line has over 20 releases featuring a variety of genres including horror, martial arts, road/biker movies, and even some erotic films.
