Speaking on VinSyn I wish their Drive Series was like the DarkForce one with trailers and stuff. I've those retro double feature style releases with trailers and ads

Although I find their marketing annoying, surely it is best to comment on the latest release after we have seen at least screngrabs? It sounds like some effort went into it unlike say Dorado Films...

STAY TUNED here tomorrow as Dark Force is going to show you some exclusive clips from our main feature the newly restored GOD'S BLOODY ACRE. We inadvertently used the wrong restoration term when in fact the process involved is known as DSR which targets only the bad scratches and does NOT effect film texture or GRAIN. But you can see for yourself right here on the DARK FORCE/FACEBOOK page tomorrow. We showed you SO SAD ABOUT GLORIA now time to see the main feature GOD'S BLOODY ACRE...

I honestly hope that I am not the only one that knows this . Then, a defective/gimped release that nobody mentioned (I sure a person or two might have) will become a valuable collector because CR has it “OOP” and is holding hundreds of copies by the crapper in his apartment? .
Police Connection is the 1 title I wish I didn't miss out on Ive been eying 1 for around $50 on eBay for a little bit but not sure if I want to spend that much on it.

The DNR process to remove those only targets the lines and not the whole picture so all your precious grain is still there. We heard all the complaints regarding the DNR on THE CARRIER so we knew better. If you look back on the Dark Force Facebook posts we actually show the procedure being done in the lab and how it targets just the green lines. If we didn't get rid of a major amount of them this movie would have been unwatchable

Yes, yes we do.
Either that, or you’re just being dishonest. I’m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Hope the disc looks great tho dawg..

Prove us otherwise.
Yes Damonstein we did have a bit of a learning curve initially but we come from a filmmaking background that involves post production far more complex than anything in this business. So it really didn't take us very long at all to really pick this up as you will see in all of our upcoming releases. We release only movies that we really like ourselves and want to do our very best to make sure we get them looking the best we possibly can whatever the cost. In the case of God's Bloody Acre we could have let it go just like it was on the DVD except with the blu upgrade but that wasn't good enough for me. I took a real liking to that little movie and Wayne Crawford. So opted to use the highest DRS technology to try and get as many of the really bad green lines that made it unwatchable out of the picture. Between that, whatever color correction we could do and the blu upgrade, we feel we have breathed new life into God's little acre. Now the big release we are doing like THE BACKLOT MURDERS, MIRROR MIRROR, COP KILLERS...etc..we will be using our top colorist to do scene by scene on every one of them which makes a colossal difference. You will see how quickly we have picked up on this and how much we will advance with each release. Not to mention we are trying to do the best wrap art, menus and the coolest extras. Ever since I was a baby demon I was obsessed with horror and collectibles. So, I want the Dark Force line to be something that decades from now will the same caliber of collectibles as all the things are today that I loved as a child. If that makes any sense to you...DDD

Once that happens, DF will be the only site selling the release and can drip it out slowly as has occurred with other problematic CR titles, increasing the scarcity. Scarcity drives high prices, not necessarily whether the Blu has issues or not.

I find it pretty funny that House that Vanished cut print and all regularly sells for $35-$40 new shipped on eBay when its readily available for $25 new shipped on the screenarchives shop, simply because so few people actually know that the screenarchives site even exists.
Very well put and I have to agree...DDD

We appreciate that and guarantee all of the above mentioned will look incredible. In fact, Backlot Murders will be available before the end of June so you will be able to see what we are doing with these new single releases from that one

Are you trying to say that screenshots are a good way to gauge quality? Actually, I'd well believe that given that given that you championed the Carrier as a great release when even DF seems to have admitted that it was a piece of shit.

[QUOTE=Ruined;1517Nah, there have been numerous hardcore films VS has put on Blu-ray, for instance Sweet Young Foxes, The Young Like it Hot, Pretty Peaches Trilogy (released twice on Blu), Sexworld (released twice on Blu), etc, just off the top of my head. They do state they don't sell as well on Blu as typical horror genre releases, though. But, remember in these cases the 2K masters are already complete, the primary extra spend would be the additional costs of authoring & replicating on BD instead of DVD.[/QUOTE]

No shit Sherlock, go back and read my posts. I'm well aware that VS release hardcore films on Blu but generally, the only films that VS release on DVD and not on Blu are hardcore. It's almost as if you think that you know more about how the business works than the rest of us, I have noticed that whenever you have nothing to add or an actual comeback you resort to trying to confuse the issue by telling us all what we already know.

This thread is RUINED.

I blocked the guy months ago and still have to suffer through his sycophantic shilling because everyone quotes him.

It's hard out here fam.

Looking forward to grabbing GOD'S BLOODY ACRE soon. Anyone have a chance to watch it yet?
