I wish Bill well and I wish you well too, Dave. I think you are a likeable guy. Make the release available for purchase, watch the $$$ roll in, kick back with a brewski and then move onto the next title. That is all I am saying mate.

You are assuming they were accessible and/or it may not have even been mounted that way. Not everyone has your toilet and bathroom layout you know, could have been wall mounted for instance/his head blocking access to screws

Just saying physically removing him may have been the best solution. Unless you have the architectural plans of his bathroom or were an EMT on the scene, you can't reliably state he wasn't removed in best fashion possible.

I'm having flashbacks of the scene in Lethal Weapon 2 where Danny Glover was on the throne with a bomb under it. So Bill was what, wedged under the tank or something?

Based on how it was described sounds like his head was trapped below the rim of the bowl, wedged between the porcelain of the tub and bowl, and possibly also the floor tile though not sure if his head made it that far down.

If it was a wall mounted toilet and his head was trapped in the bottom back portion between the tub it wouldn't be able to be unscrewed off the wall, for instance.

Still having trouble picturing how this happened. He gets out of the shower, trips and lands inside the bowl head first and gets stuck there? Jeez, I hope that toilet had fresh water. What did he slip on? A banana peel?

You know how the bowl tapers in near the tank on a lot of bowls? Meaning it's wider in the middle than in the front or the back.

I am assuming he got out of the shower, slipped on the tile/water, and fell headfirst into that little area in the back where it tapers, not in the actual bowl but in the crevice between the rear back corner of the bowl/tank and the wall of the tub. bowl must have been place in close proximity to tub which isn't uncommon.

I didn't say he wasn't removed the best way possible. I was pointing out how stupid your jump to the next solution was. Wall or floor mount. 99% it's floor mount BTW. Both are 2 screws away from wiggle room.

Isn't it also not wise to assume over the internet that the EMTs didn't do the right thing by physically removing him when you weren't there, didn't see his position, and (likely ) haven't seen the bathroom in question? And nah there are wallmounts with 4 screws and all sorts of weird setups that could have been blocked.

My first thought would be that the EMTs would try to loosen the bowl if possible (fairly obvious). If not possible (likely case here), then the choices are physically remove him or break the bowl to get to him.

So even you just said loosen bowl before breaking it. So WTF are you arguing?

Because it already was discussed that they had to pull him with great force to get him out. Hence that would likely rule out just moving the toilet, and there are realistic scenarios you wouldn't be able to move the toilet.

Another poster stated the story was fake because of not moving the toilet, but that was apparently not an option in this case.

They are going to physically remove him...that also is clearly not what is suspect.

Is there really a back and back forth going on about bathroom structure?? This thread makes my day. I must be a glutton for punishment because I followed DF on Facebook and was greeted with an Andrew Dice Clay video.

What else is there to talk about? Movies trickle out only once in a purple moon and when they do, it's turned into a shitshow of shills, wrestling and filthy apartments. Makes the circus look like Sunday Mass.

Grown ass adults acting like this towards someone who they’ve been told is in the hospital over what? A movie? All I can do is shake my head at the lot of you. Hope Bill recovers soon
