I really hope not. I already own Chaos. What I need is a bundle with Steel Arena. Or you know, like no more games at all would be nice too.

Well, this SOAWN fiasco seems to have really turned people against DF - their Facebook posts's comments are now almost exclusively trolls and sick burns (whereas, up until recently, they have been dominated by Mirifaux/Ruined-style fanboi posts).

I know people hate it when I speak from personal experience, but, I can't be alone in having had the experience that, on a terrible day, when something unimaginably bad has happened, a film, that only Bill Olsen would put in the time and effort to distribute, was the only thing that could distract me or make me feel any less horrible. Great companies don't just put out a product, they make life better on really horrible days. Bill (and Walt) have done this for years and years. Just because DD gives the information in his own way doesn't diminish the severity. If you pray, pray for Bill. If not, just remember all he has done that you appreciate. |

Yet again, another defence of df awful marketing with "but he's a wrestler". I know I have asked this in the past but if defalco is a wrestler then why is there no information out there about it beyond him saying it is so. The level that people will sink to defend df is ridiculous, and please satan don't bother with one your poorly written pieces of fantasy miribeau. I don't care if your uncles famously told defalco that you were amazing or about how you speak in tiny churches about completely made up nonsense. You are like that wannabe bully everyone knew when they were 10, the one that always had to one-up everyone else, when someone says"did you hear that John went away for the weekend" you butt in with "my dad knows James Cameron and he took me on the Titanic". Not even a child would believe a tenth of the utter shite you come out with.
df comical ineptness is reaching whole new levels over the past few days, it's getting to the point where it's obvious that defalco is panicking. Clearly very little stock beyond the shilled to hell releases are shifting, why else threaten that every purchase of SOAWN night will have the truly inept Chaos as part of the deal. Their tiered release pricing was a travesty, the fact that the store is only 2 days a week and the fact that they think that selling 225 copies of a release makes it a hit. If Bill's health continues to deteriorate and someone with his genuine best interests steps in then defalco is screwed as from everything he has posted here and on facebook and it's clear that the df Code Read deal is about taking advantage of a desperate man. |

As to Chaos, DD has not threatened to include a copy of any film with stand alone purchases of SoaWN. He offered to bundle a film he owns, and can discount at will, with SoaWN, for a discounted deal, with some copies of SoaWN, while Bill is ill and not in a position to negotiate which of his films can be bundled and how many copies can be sold, of each of the two films in that bundle, with that dual discounted price. Previously, Bill and David negotiated a bundle deal on DF's MMII with CR's SB and then they negotiated for DF to sell a CR bundle of SB and SA together and then to sell Shakma with SoaWN. All of this required Bill to sign off on pricing, as part of purchasing deals, of a quantity of films by DF from CR. Viewing DD's offering of a bundle as a threat to customers is as ridiculous as making me some scapegoat to pick on whenever you feel like it. He made an offer. You don't have to buy the bundle. The stand alone will be available for purchase at the same time, if you want one, no forced copy of Chaos included. As to Bill, he is not a child. Both Olsen's have a long history of managing their businesses and, regardless of how some may feel about decisions made over the years, replacement discs or no, availability of titles and scarcity, they are intelligent and capable men who know how to get releases made and distributed, different from each other but still capable in their own ways. What matters right now is Bill's health and, hopefully, he is in good and kind hands getting the best care possible in a terrible situation. |

Wow I just opened Facebook to see that the latest live feed features a clearly out of breath defalco hanging around some hospital in L.A. trying to drum up sales of his piece of shit release. If Bill really is in hospital then someone needs to slap defalco and tell him grow up, using someones declining health to make a buck is the worst kind of cheap stunt.
If you really want to see just what a second rate label df is then look no further than the fact that they celebrated 225 sales as some landmark. They make it out to be huge and then you just take a look at say VS who routinely sell out of 3000 copies of a release in a couple of hours. So df sells 7.5% of what Moseleum sold and calling it a big deal, to me it looks like a second rate label who can't afford to press any more than 300 copies so they sell 225 and then scalp the rest on ebay. |

DF is a new company. It's actually doing really well, for being a new company. Selling 225 copies of a film, even a film you're distributing but did not officially release, is a huge achievement for a young company, early on, but, since it is young and hasn't learned all the lessons and become the perfect, future version, as of yet, you think it sucks. I get it. I just don't agree. Like the child learning to walk and talk, I am really happy to see young labels get up and running. I do wonder though, what is DD carrying in that video. You can hear it but you can't see it. Possibly a hollow Banana Man, waiting to be filled. Possibly, a winter coat. |

DD updated on his page. Looks like he was there a while with Bill and Bill is having difficulty. DD will update tomorrow and possibly post an interview with Bill. He did confirm that he will be bundling SoaWN with more than one other film, in several bundle options, for those who were upset about Chaos and also confirmed that he is still busy shipping orders.
"Dark Force Entertainment 14 mins · DARK FORCE UPDATE: We were able to get an exclusive interview with Banana Man in the hospital but we regret to say his condition is worse than we thought. We will have that interview and more on his condition tomorrow. We are bringing in more Screams Of A Winter Night and will have it available with SEVERAL package deals including one with STEEL ARENA. There is no need for alarm. The Store will be back open by tomorrow. Although our shipping department is not accustomed to this type of load we are doing our best to ship out all orders as quickly as possible. Darkforcedvd.com" Here's wishing Bill a smooth recovery and a peaceful mind while he recuperates. |

I posted this in the Code Red thread and it bears repeating here as well for anyone who is still interested in getting a copy of SOAWN:
Dark Force just posted on Facebook that more Screams of A Winter Night will be available tomorrow (as part of a bundle and by itself) and that the store will open early at a reasonable hour* to allow fans a good crack at getting it. *how early and how many will be available were not mentioned, so we will see. |
