He's not selling Dead Pit cause a random user reported them for harassment after he threatened the user. Now he's threatening to raise the price on it to get back at everyone. Definitely one of the best labels out there!

He keeps blaming the person for reporting them meanwhile anyone can report the comment and it's annoymous. All he's doing is giving more fuel to the fire and going to have random people reporting every threat he makes as harassment.

Also, as to the Dead Pit release and all other big releases, they really should just put a limit for the first three to five days, of two or three per customer. All the real fans really need is a few days of protected purchasing and then the free for all is fine. How many of us would wait more than a few days to purchase anyway? On another note, he talked about how he used to be with his collectibles, when he was young.... Am I the only person who stayed that way, and I mean really stayed that way, and got old? No one, and I mean no one, touches my statues, even the little busts, I even protect the silly little eight inch busts. They're not even worth anything. Doesn't even matter how much or how little I care about a particular item, and I do have them in order of importance, in my mind, no one touches my statues.... Heck, I don't even let them touch the Farscape figures... box. I don't even let people touch my pens. Other old people know exactly what I'm talking about. How did he get over it? Also, David, please don't open the store in the middle of the night. After my last health crisis, I have to stick to a normal schedule, and I am doing that, because I don't want to die, so I can't shop at midnight. Really, sometime between 9am your time, which is already noon for a bunch of your fans, and maybe 6pm your time, which is after my bedtime, should be doable, shouldn't it? I know those guys are funny with their "open it at midnight" but that would be so mean, to those of us who are old and those of us who have jobs and those of us who aren't sixteen/capable of not sleeping for days. PLEASE don't open the store at midnight. Thank you. |

This guy is his own worst enemy.
This is a nice slip, and it *was* nice to see Dave come into his own with the Dark Force label a bit. But then he pulls this crap and ruins all that goodwill. I don’t get it. |

When you get older, you start to notice an unfortunate trend: Really wonderful things, great moments and events and even little achievements, are spoiled, in memory, by the concurrent crap of the day. By the time you hit thirty, it starts to become apparent. By the time you hit forty, it is enough of a trend that you start to have some rather significant regrets, related to not having walked away, not having said "let's do it another day". By the time you hit fifty, you are staring down the rest of your life and noticing yourself walking away, rescheduling, making a concerted effort to avoid having this thing happen again. Having a really terrible day, taking a step back and deciding to save the big event in your life for a day you know you can remember fondly, is something you will find yourself doing at some point in your life. When you have enough bad memories, that would have been good memories, if only you hadn't tied the good memories, in your mind, to a bad day, a bad day you would have long since forgotten, had you just rescheduled, well, then you will know what I mean. In case it isn't clear to anyone, in David's case, the big event was releasing this film, which he's been working really hard to get out there, and the crap of the day turned rescheduling into a way to erase this day from his future memory, so it won't tarnish the achievement. When I was twenty, I wouldn't have understood and would have seen it as some kind of sales-sabotage. Today, I get it and, beyond that, I say he made the right call. We only get so many of these little achievement moments in life and they should be enjoyable in later years, not tied to garbage moments that are best forgotten. |

DF knows what they’re doing, and it works for the most part. We’re all talking about it and a lot of us have been refreshing their site all day waiting for it to come back up. Does it tick me off that they resort to antics for their “big” releases. Sure. I’ll still buy the title when I can, but it’s pretty shameless behavior. EDIT: It’s also gross that they put no limit on how many copies a person (read: scalper) can purchase of their limited titles. They’re main goal is to push product and not cater to fans or any high-minded “doing it for the love of genre” nonsense they may claim. Last edited by ProfondoRosso; 07-04-2019 at 03:25 AM. |

Oh dear, you must be very young. I hope some day you find a life that is satisfying and find a way to let go of all that anger. Me, I'm a humble former Criminal Profiler turned arts and crafts historian and as I got older, I came to understand that a little kindness can go a long way in not just making others feel welcome, but lifting your own spirits as well. That's why I'm glad to wait and then spend $35 on Dead Pit, a low budget horror movie that came out when I was a forty year old career driven woman according to the character I play on this forum.

I remember reading that you had to jump through a bunch of hoops with videos, pictures, etc. I’m glad you were able to get it swapped out but doing a make good for one person doesn’t mean it’s a program. I’m speaking more to stuff like The Carrier where everyone knows the audio is out of sync and nothing was done about it. Stuff like that would drive me insane if there’s no replacement program in place for it.

One thing that's distinctive about miribeau's writing style, aside from the long-windedness, is the overuse of commas. She'll use 8-10 commas sometimes in a sentence that could easily only have 2-3 if written in a slightly different way.
