Irrelevant in the extreme.

The subs used were translated from a German VHS,
which also has a couple unique scenes.
The subs were never translated from Italian and should not have been used....period.

Whomever borrowed them from CG is not very sharp, shall we say?

Anyone got a run time on the BLU?
Curious if it is fully uncut.

CG composite runs 1:32:45 minus themdistributor logo.

Good job MVD. If they give us the entire Italian audio, I would actually buy the disc all over again and not even turn it in for a replacement.

If MVD convinces you to do a replacement. It's better to steer into it fully. We didn't do it right, and are gonna fix it. Why continue with this nonsense "Although we have confirmed the scenes were indeed overlooked, we do feel they were not pertinent to the story and very self explanatory."? It doesn't matter if you feel that. "Or Most are very satisfied that the image on the new Dark Force blu-ray stating it is far superior to anything else previous on the market." That's the DF go to line. No one else is saying that. Leopard can't change their spots I guess.

Nothing about this should cause it to be deleted, but it will be anyway.

I think this is a good opportunity for growth for Dark Force. I really hope they take advantage of it and reflect on why this happened.

Also the constant couching of such a rookie mistake in "Yeah but we knocked it out of the park with the transfer! Movie's never looked better!"

Like just take the L, address the issue tastefully, and explain what you're going to do to fix it. I don't know who they think they're impressing by shoehorning in irrelevant selling points to downplay their mistake.

Just checked the site, in one of the header images there was a picture of THE DEAD ARE ALIVE. Did they actually have copies available, and if so for how much?

I don't see any copies up there now, but Demon has been talking to Bill about re-pressing some OOP Italian Code Red blus.

They did. I can't remember the price though sorry. I feel like it was on the higher end though. Like $30-40.

That was out long before I got involved. And we don't distribute that one. That is Code Red.

Not forced at all. I just talked to Dark Force and made recommendations. DF is an indie company and he's aware of the subtitle oversight. Believe me when I tell you DDF loves this stuff. He's a die hard collector trying his best to bring some really obscure, deep catalog to physical media. Most of which are titles that no other company would invest time and money releasing. And he's doing all of the work himself. Believe me, I know. No matter how many times you check the masters and the discs and you think you have it perfect and then you go to press and sure enough something isn't perfect. (Hell, we had to re-press Lionheart not once but twice, so believe me... I know.)

I would just say be patient and give him some time to assess everything.
