Yeah, this was an exchange here on the forum- probably last fall, I think? Between Demon Dave and John Lyons.
Ah, here I found what I was thinking of. I was off a bit. Lyons was just trying to help facilitate a release of the Farmer.

I just wanna clarify that I DID respond to the cage fight challenge by asking in a roundabout way if there was enough interest in THE FARMER to warrant partaking in the challenge, as well as bringing up the fact that in the previous video, Bill didn't seem too enthralled by the idea as a whole. Since it's his movie, he'd still be the one to decide whether he'd release it and, considering it's been on hold for so long, it would be important, I think, to make sure that he's actually interested in releasing it in the first place.

However, since it was brought up again, I have a few more questions/points of clarification about the match itself and its purpose.
First, seeing as I've got zero wrestling experience and no real desire to do any training, it's basically a foregone conclusion that I'd lose. As such, it would end up being less of an actual match than me just getting punched a couple times, pinned, and then likely being called. It probably wouldn't take 3 minutes either. More likely around 30 seconds.
Second, as far as I'm aware (and I could be wrong), I thought matches were set based on weight class? I weigh approximately 140 lbs, so would such a match even be doable?
Third, and this is more, for lack of a better term, of a philosophical question: what is the purpose of the match? As noted in points 1 and 2, it's basically a foregone conclusion that I'd lose, so the whole concept of having a fight would probably be a non-starter. I know it's ostensibly to get THE FARMER released, so if the whole purpose is to achieve that goal, I can respect it (assuming Bill wants to release it). But otherwise, I'm not really sure what the point is.

Hell yes I do! Fantastic entertainment. So, for the million dollar question: should I get in the 'cage' to get THE FARMER released?

Bill didn't seem too enthusiastic about the suggestion and it's his movie so he really has the final say in the matter, cage fight or not

Another idea on THE FARMER: I'll buy 1000 copies at wholesale.

Bill will never let VS release The Farmer. He's eternally butthurt that Joe Rubin isn't 80 years old and probably more successful than him.

It was hard to get through the stream, so figure I would ask point blank to you folks. Blue Monkey...is it still one of those 'if you want it pay $400 for this subscription' or 'we'll release it later by itself'. I kept hearing different things.

It's a timed exclusive

So exclusive to $400 package for an unspecified period of time, then later will have individual release

Wow...I generally do not buy any DF releases, but I guess this cements my philosophy of staying away for good.

If the world does end, and being honest, I really hope it doesn’t.
I can kind of chuckle at the fact physical media made it all the way to the end.

They haven't actually announced any yet I believe but they will be modern horror direct to video films (i.e. past couple of years) instead of stuff from the 70s-90s.

Well, I purchased the club... but then, I also contributed to Bill's Blue Monkey gofundme.
Hopefully the club turns out to be a better decision.

So now that I see the full details of THE CLUB, here is my take:

PROS
--
* Price is good - $16.66 shipped is nice given the recent increased USPS costs
* Throw in-swag is good - even if only a few of the pack-ins turn out worthwhile, its still fun to get a surprise
* Not including Dark Force Premiere is good (for me at least, I like the older films)
* This is a company who puts out content I want to see more of, hence would be a good match

CONS
--
* "No Code Red titles sold at the Dark Force store included" from my understanding means that titles that Bill owns the license to that he does not want to sublicense to Dave are not included, which historically has been a large percentage of titles sold on Dark Force's storefront. So there may be quite a few Code Red titles that come out and are sold at Dark Force that will not be included in this sub. * Can Dark Force clarify if this statement covers only old Code Red titles sold elsewhere or also new Code Red titles?
* Realistically its not a great time to launch a club now and gauge subscription model success based upon its performance at this particular point in time - indie media sellers are reporting BD/DVD sales have tanked since COVID19 started as people are panic-buying cleaning goods, paper goods, water, etc, and also very worried about their jobs. While this is a very attractive offer, some people who might normally buy into the club may hold out instead due to job uncertainty or general focus on the essentials instead of media.

If you have bought most Dark Force releases up until this point, it seems like a solid purchase.

"No Code Red titles sold at the Dark Force store included“ I’m assuming this means older Code Red titles that they add to their store.

I don't know about that, I would like to hear Dave clarify.

For instance, SCREAMS OF A WINTER NIGHT and THE CARRIER would fall under "Code Red titles sold at the Dark Force store" and both were new releases.
