Pretty much, though most of what they put out only has a release from them.

Their version of the Giant Spider Invasion looks much better than the VCI release.

Their release of Don't Go In The Basement is the best.

Thanks for any ideas/thoughts.
That release you have of ours is one of our very popular retro Drive-In series of which contain drive-in double features and most of the transfers done from actual 35mm drive-in prints to achieve the nostalgic feel. So if you want to see Gates of Hell pretty much the way it looked when it played in the US drive-ins then ours would be the right choice. If you are looking for a more polished high def then the 4k would probably be best. Now our single edition releases are generally done from original 35mm camera negatives like GIANT SPIDER INVASION, MIRROR MIRROR, CHAOS, THE BANKER, BLUE MONKEY...etc, and our transfers and restorations hold up against the best labels in the business. Check out some recent reviews of our stuff on Blu-ray.com which has scored very high in quality department.

Where does Magdalena, Possessed by the Devil rank among the possession films? Is it on the same level as something like Beyond the Door or Malabimba?

I only have a DVD-R of this, but it is an excellent Exorcist rip-off.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it had loads of gratuitous nudity in it, which is always a good thing.

A little closer to Malabimba, I'd say, but still has it's own vibe.

How come every time I want to visit Dark Force's website to check out and maybe buy some releases it's closed? Seems bad for business.

They better not have any aspirations of ever making the Blu-ray.com sticky thread section. They're more likely to be moved to Wishlists

Of the 3-

The Blue Underground really serves no purpose anymore

The Scorpion is the most "pristine" restoration of the film that exists

The Dark Force is a more "grindhouse" look that frankly fits the mood of the film very well. Perhaps the most "fun" way to view the film if not the best looking.

If you have the cash I'd keep the Dark Force, and also buy the Scorpion, as both present an interesting take on the film. BU one I'd sell, as it is superseded by the Scorpion.

We really appreciate that Stormyyy. Dark Force is just as much a fan of these awesome movies as all of you are. We have some great new releases hitting for Black Friday including the long awaited TERROR EXPRESS (1980) which we are very proud of the reconstruction we were able to achieve from the surviving film negatives in Italy. We'll also be rounding the year up with some beautiful restorations on some really cool flicks including JOURNEY INTO FEAR, REVENGE OF THE BUSHIDO BLADE and HUNDRA. Thanks again Stormyyy and may the dark forces be with you.

Thank you Ruined. Once again, extremely well put. To Stormyyy: the vastly knowledgeable and well respected Ruined has answered your question perfectly.

How about the Arrow? I know the grain is a downer for some, but the presentation box is beautiful.

I look at this release in 2 categories

Category 1: Reference transfer
Scorpion > Arrow > BU

Category 2: Grindhouse/Drive-in Experience
Dark Force

If you are going with category 1 "best PQ" the scorpion is the obvious choice, but I think the best choice is scorpion+DF releases. Plus with DF release you get best version of psycho from Texas
