Even though I already have The Dead Pit 4K, the 8 pack 4K collection is super tempting.

Yes Suicide Master the Dark Force Memorial Day Flag Sale is officially up and running. Visit the Dark Force Superstore and look for the US Flags and enjoy some of the biggest savings since BLACK FRIDAY! We also actually were able to dig up a very small quantity of the 4K earlier releases that have previously sold out. Because we like you Suicide we make a few FINAL EXAM available individually, as it is currently only available in the bundle deals. I highly suggest anyone wanting the earlier 4K's to grab them NOW! They are legitimately almost completely gone and we do not have the capability to go back and repress. They are extremely expensive to produce and our money has to go to the new releases. Hope everyone is having a great MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

I know my opinion is biased zeze but I would grab it immediately if you have any temptation whatsoever. We were very lucky to get our hands on a small amount of SCREAM 4K that was left over and several of the other earlier 4K releases are very close to being completely gone. These are definitely our best releases and I was very happy to be able to make the entire Platinum 4K collection available in an extremely limited bundle for this Memorial Day Sale! Extremely likely this will be the last chance to get them all at once like this at a significant savings too.

If i remember correctly Mike even did a Audio Commentary with Gary Conway for the Farmer.

With the doc on board and a 4K ... this will be the ultimate release. Amazing times.

I don't know if this would be at all feasible but @DemonDave - would be cool if you could add a scan of the 35mm theatrical print as a bonus as well. I just love those.

The livestream was great. It was amazing seeing the original negative reels for "The Farmer". Demon Dave also mentioned another big movie acquisition which he will reveal sometime this week. I'm curious what that title will be.

Very interesting. I don't follow the Dark Force page on Facebook, so I'm glad you posted this (any news about their titles I read about on here). During the last few weeks, I have on more than one occasion been looking into finally getting a copy of the Scorpion Blu-ray release of The Farmer if there were still copies available.

Sounds like the perfect time to wait for the 4k Along with the doc coming, I can't wait for these. They've been doing a great job with their 4Ks in general~so this one should look excellent

Had meant to reply to your post Bradsdadg a couple of days ago, so later than scheduled...

Hoping it will be a 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray combo pack as I don't have a 4K set-up. I think it's the documentary that sounds the most interesting part of this for me (especially if it's something like feature-length).

The only other Dark Force title I was interested in getting was The Weekend Murders. Had another look at the Mondo Digital review of it during the past week. There was something mentioned in the interview which sounded interesting (a possible longer television cut of the film).

You know, if you just wanted the blu~you might try and grab it elsewhere if the $ is reasonable. I think all of their 4Ks are just that and no blu included, unfortunately. I haven't seen Weekend Murders so am not much help with that one.

Saw your post about The Weekend Murders. I watched the Code Red Blu-ray a few years ago and loved it. Saw the color-correction comments when DF released their version and bought that one as well. Didn't know about the TV cut so I just opened my DF copy to check the runtime.

I can confirm the DF is 1:37.58 so it's 98 minutes like the CR release. I haven't compared the color quality side-by-side but the DF release looks quite good and it's on a BD-50 (albeit with another film) while the CR release is on a BD-25. Granted, there's still a ton of artifacts and deserves to be remastered, but I'll take what I can get with this one.

Thank you both for the helpful replies. Will check for the availability of the Scorpion Blu-ray release of The Farmer and Dark Force's double feature Blu-ray release that includes The Weekend Murders.
