I've ordered a few blu-rays from the Dark Force storefront and they have been absolutely amazing, shipping most items out on the same day.

Which reminds me, I placed an order from the code red store back in mid may, and I still haven't received anything from them. :\

I mean it’s not the greatest film in the world or anything, but I enjoy it. It’s my most wanted film on Blu ray, because I know no other label or company will even go near it. And I think the rarity alone will get you and Bill some sales off of that.

I've ordered a few things now and received them in 3-4 days. It's always really a surprise because I've never get shipping confirmations

Bill can take a little while to ship sometimes. It took around 3 weeks I think to receive 1 BD.

MGM was going to put out the dvd back in 2005 (I believe it was) but cancelled the release do to the negative backlash. It has nothing to do with it being “state evidence”.

And even if Dark Force and Code Red are not successful and get turned down by MGM. Atleast they can say they made an attempt to release the film. Which is more than any of these other labels out here can say. No one has the balls to pull this off except these two guys.

Technically, MGM did release Clownhouse on DVD. I own it. I believe it was recalled prior to street date, or pulled immediately. Back in Best Buys better days, it was Pretty easy to get Dvds 2-3 weeks prior to their release date. I also got the recalled version of Swamp Thing with extrabtitties early at Best Buy.

Nathan Winters can say whatever he wants (he’s entitled to to it). But do you really think there will be any negative impact and backlash towards Dark Force, a label no one outside Blu ray forums even know exist? I highly doubt it.

And MGM would have nothing to do with it. Just because they would be licensing out the film, means nothing. They wouldn’t be releasing it themselves so it’s not on them.

And not to mention, I find it really hard to believe that if MGM didn’t want anything to do with the film, that they would still hold the rights to it. Why would you want to hold the rights to a film you hate and want nothing to do with? They obviously are keeping it for a reason. (Whatever that is).

And if Dark Force says he is looking into it, I believe him. Just like Bill said he would look into it, and he did.

Again, they actually have the balls to try and release the film. All other labels are nutless and too scared of backlash to even make an attempt. Scream Factory have no problem releasing the Jeepers Creepers Films, but say “No way” to Clownhouse. Talk about double standard.

You can say whatever you want about Defalco and Bill, but the cool thing about them is they don’t give a shit what other people think or say. They just do what they do.

Hell, even if there is a bit of negative backlash, I’m sure that would probably bring them more customers outside of this forum, who don’t know they exist.

How many times has Bill complained about not selling enough of a particular title on dvd and said there will never be a Blu ray, but eventually releases that film on Blu ray?

Bill says a lot of things, but from what I’ve seen he always comes through. I have a lot of respect for guys like him, who are constantly posting on forums like these and engaging in conversations with people who are requesting titles and trying to find out about who owns what and etc.

You might not always like his responses but atleast you know he took your request into consideration which is more than I can say about some of these other big shot labels who don’t post on here. Ever tried requesting a title to Arrow or SF? It’s always some auto generated reply with “thanks for your request, we will look into it”

Bill also scams the living shite out of his customers. How many times has he put an older DVD up on the cartel at an inflated price only to have a blu appear a week later? Or how many times has he pulled a blu, then added it at a jacked up price? How many times has he pulled a Spasms?

I believe Bill made a legitimate attempt to release Clownhouse. He's a true hooker and will turn any trick for a buck.
