I don’t think Demon or Bill are qualified to be licensees for MGM. Demon 100% isn’t. There’s certain standards a company has to have before MGM will license shit too them. That’s a fact.

These are also facts. No blame to MGM on any front.

Hmmm, I haven't seen Cinema74 post up recently. Maybe Billy came thru and killed him with that Hypodermic needle after all.

I’m sure he’ll be here to defend his daddy very soon .
This label / thread is getting fair coverage now and is no longer filled with conspiracy theories and misinformation. So no need to counterpost against that stuff as much.

You know like...

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=515

Going back and reading that, do I really sound like one being ridiculous? Or do you still believe that Dark Force recevied a cease & desist letter for The House That Vanished on March 26th (btw: still at screenarchives.com for sale), and that Dark Force also parted ways with Code Red at the end of March?

It is evident most realize now that Dark Force was a very positive development for Code Red fans.

Yes, you still sound ridiculous.

All of that was merely speculation based on the stuff that seemed VERY possible at the time.

None of it turned out to be true, but, damn if it wasn't a fun ride!

Ahhhh, memories!

If Bill really did "scam the living shit" out of his customers, he would have no customers - in reality, Code Red is doing better now then ever before with tons of big releases. Charging a high price for a DVD that is about to receive a Blu is not scamming, it is capitalism / making the most profit out of your product. The major studios not only double dip, but triple, quadruple, etc, dip.

This issues can easily be avoided by buying things on or near release. Even when a Blu is pulled there is ample warning when it happens. The only party this doesn't satisfy is one who both wants to get something on clearance for $10 and also doesn't want to risk never owning the title; but, waiting for clearance prices means you may miss out on a title at normal price, that's just the way it is. Code Red paid for the license, they can charge whatever they want or release it in any manner they want.

I've heard him made comments refusing to release other releases with less severe issues (i.e. I believe the Willies was one of them CR stated they refused to release because of the personal history of the director). But, Dark Force might have put it out if it were possible to license (unlikely).

Reason that Code Red is successful and larger than ever now is because they license films that people want. Some labels have great customer support but license boring films - Code Red's specialty is not customer support, but rather provocative films. Although, Dark Force is doing a pretty great job of fixing Code Red's customer support issues, like the month+ long shipping at the Code Red Cartel.

Yeah for being the sole voice of reason when everyone else (including yourself) was sucked up into believing he was pulling a title due to getting cease and desist orders and dumping Code Red, amongst other BS.

I posted fact, I stood my ground, I was right, I got free bru-lay, win-win all around

I don't recall, but I do remember him saying the same about SAE. Of course, I believe both have offered some of his older releases when available. Ronin even offers some of the older SAE "exclusives".

How about you cool it with the South Park gifs? You leave them in your wake like a puppy with a bowel problem leaves flecks of liquid feces... only the feces is probably somehow funnier. Try pretending that you're cool, if at all possible. Just mimic anyone else on Earth and you'll come off cooler than you are.
