Nah, just pretend that what Ben told Luke happened actually is what happened.

Well I've been waiting For episodes I, II, and III since '83 when Jedi came out, and I'm still waiting...

I feel like Disney may reboot them after 2020.

Those three movies that George Lucas supposedly made should be treated the same way GL wanted for the Star Wars Holiday Special.

I feel Star Wars will beat out the Avengers because of people like me who love the Avengers but don't wanna fight the large crowds and can wait for it on blu-ray. Now Star Wars on the other hand, well I don't care about how many people show up, I'll be there opening day and many times after that. All my friends feel the same.

It will do really well. Possibly the second-best gross of the series, IMO. But I do not think it will quite reach that level.

I would guess box-office for 2015 will have in this order:

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron
3. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2
4. Spectre
5. Jurassic World

Dont they count the #1 BO movie of the yr as just the actual calendar yr ?

So with star wars only around for like 2 wks it cant be #1 for 2015 since the carryover it makes in 2016 wont actually count for 2015.

Isnt that how it works ?

You'll see the end-of-year #1 hyped up for a while but the true #1 movie will be the one historically recognized even if it made most of its money after 12/31.

All these years later do people still talk about Men in Black or do they talk about Titanic?

Nope. As long it came out in 2015, it carries into 2016 as 2015 grossed film. That's why American Sniper is going to be one of 2014's highest grossing releases.

Oh didnt know that.

So taking 2001 harry potter is #1 with $317m & lotr 2nd with $313m.

If they rereleased lotr this yr in 3D for example & made $5m it would become the #1 movie of 2001 even though it happened 14 yrs later.

Thats really wierd.

There is no way Avengers: AOU makes less then the first Avengers and there is definitely no way Star Wars: TFA will make only 40 million more then Revenge of the Sith.

I'm not into chicks but I believe I have solved this mystery!

Carrie Fisher was not ugly by any means, but not as anywhere near as hot in the first two, as depicted in ROTJ. She lost weight for the film, and they put on that skimpy outfit, and I think she went from a 4, to a 8+ in many boys minds. From rags to riches in the hots department.

In Episode VII she'll have gone from an 8+ to a -5!!

That would be great, has Disney actually ever directly addressed re-booting the prequels at all?

I'd say you can bet your bottom dollar that at the very least the labyrinthine contract between Lucas and Disney would have stipulated a no remake clause for Episodes I-VI.
