It's just a sample frm ROTJ. Those lines aren't from TFA anymore than Alec Guiness' lines in the ROTS teaser were a part of that movie. Its meant to remind us of the Skywalker family and tease Luke and Leia without actually revealing them.

You should go back and read the over the top reactions people had to it. They're pretty much the same thing people are saying now. Granted, Episode VII has almost no chance of being as bad as Episode I, but some people might be setting themselves up for disappointment if they hype it up too much.

I'm pretty sure it was said in one of the rounds of spoilers that

[Show spoiler]he deserts because he doesn't want to carry out the orders of his superiors in massacring a village or something like that, so he legs it and then ends up on Tatooine which is where he runs into Rey.

The bar was set so low with the prequels that JJ Abrams would need a shovel to go any lower with this film. I have hope he has given us a great start to new Star Wars.

Actually, he has to almost make a film better than the originals as nothing else will live up to the memory of them.

It did get shot in RotJ and he covered with a glove for the rest of the movie because the robotics were exposed.

Now you're bemoaning the fact that we're all too happy?

I actually don't think it's possible. The Star Wars prequels (particularly I and II) were bad in a special, magical way that I don't think anybody could re-create that level of awful, not even on purpose.

Just saying that the trailer just needs to imply that it's Luke to an audience. It doesn't necessarily have to be him.
