If so then they thought wrong! We always notice!

Actually, I think the battle looks good, it only shows problems because of the Gungans and those animated pseudo-pachiderms, the droid army looks very realistic to me, after all they are based on real props so they blend in better.

I remember watching TPM after seveal years and noting how real it looked compared to both AOTC and ROTS, hell, I've actually been to some of the locations, Caserta's Royal Palace ("reggia" in Italian) and the lake of Como, I'm actually glad they haven't completely CGIed it in the naboo sequence in episode II.

Limiting myself to the 6 inch Black Series figures. No magazines and other merch since I have no space nor funds. Sideshow and Hot Toys figures are for OT characters only for me. Gotta have priorities.

Looks like the Force FX sabers have a new stand. Now if they could just fix that price issue! As for the rest, man they got some crap in there.

It's Star Wars merch. Unleashing as much crap onto the market as humanly possible is the Lucas way, so the franchise is in good hands.

Funny you mention that!

For the past year my wife was working on the CoverGirl Star Wars make up and it will be finally releasing Sept. 1. A ton of work went into this stuff as well as keeping it secret.

GL didn't even really try that hard to build sets he was so enamored with CGI. But remember, Jar-Jar was a cinematic achievement, no matter how awful a character he was.

I watch the prequels a lot because of my kids (they love them). They are not as good, but there are good things in them. ROTS was strong if not a little rushed, TPM I saw over 20 times in the theater because it was Star Wars and it was back. AOTC was...well, a terrible waste of a good actress (Portman) and a great actor (McGregor) as they tried to shoehorn in BobaFett and move a weak plot forward.

But they are Star Wars, take them out leave them. Palpatine's plan was very interesting to watch unfold as convoluted and ridiculous as it was...

The things that have been done to the OT have been...well...I don't hate everything. I love seeing the outside in Cloud City. I enjoy the extra banthas ended if they're not needed. The song in Jabba's palace makes me cringe as does Vader's "no" (which destroys an almost perfect scene of emotional depth). Other than those two things I really don't care if Han shot first, even if it does take away from his growth from a scoundrel to a rebel leader. Really, honestly, I don't care, except it was done terribly...

So that's where I stand on the previous 6 movies. I love them, I grew up with the originals, and now my kids will grow up with the new ones!

In the behind the scenes trailer that all the anti-cgi people keep going on about, there are plenty of scenes in there that show CGI...the girl with the weird mask and dots on her face, that's CGI! They are making a point to say they're trying to use practical effects as much as possible because if what GL did to the prequels. They're trying to say these will look and feel like the original trilogy not the prequels. That's what Hamill is saying in the beginning. "You've been here before but you don't know this story."

I for one am very excited and I think they've chosen some great actors, some great directors, and I will be there opening night!

It's a gigantic space opera/science-fantasy escapism...no offense, but if you didn't think they'd be using CGI on this film, thousands of shots of it, then you are an idiot...
Factually wrong.

Yuppers. After the second muck-up, I walked out thinking God didn't want me to see that movie. Upside is, I'm really good at finding the San Antonio RiverCenter IMAX now.

Aside from the CGI looking a little dated, and some of the love story being a little rushed, I still like "Attack of the Clones". Jango Fett was completely badass, we got a huge amount of Jedi in the Geonosis arena, plus Yoda fighting Dooku and one of the best musical cues from the saga so far..."Across the Stars".

My favorite is a toss up between Duel of the Fates and Order 66

I want Duel of the Fates to play every time I enter a room. One of my all time favorite soundtracks.

I love all the prequels. I don't judge them as typical films, but stories told in a Universe that I love.

Sure, the prequels could have been better in terms of script and acting, but I won't forget walking away from TPM as a kid in 99 with a big smile on my face.
