Anakin built C3PO - yeah right!

R2D2 - Yeah, just so happens that he was built to serve on Princess Leia's mother's ship. OK.

Chewbacca - totally unnecessary! The battle of Kashyyyk could have taken place with other wookies without featuring Chewbacca.

Anakin being from Tatooine - Why? And also, why Jabba the Hutt? Was it really necessary to have him in the PT?

Jawas and sand people - Why? Totally unnecessary!

Lucas made his universe much smaller in the PT with the constant foreshadowing and OT character cameos.

There's a lot more to it than that.

[Show spoiler] the falcon isn't their first option. And the falcon is being tracked by the gang that supposedly has Han. The leaks for that have it sometimes as HAN catching Rey and Finn, but others have it as Han already captured by the gang, and then picking up the falcon while Han is escaping. Who knows about that one. I have a hard time not seeing Han going after whoever took the falcon though, so it's not bad to me.

The ridiculous thing is: I'm a 44-year-old professional who can't keep his mind on his work 'cuz of this damn movie coming out in two months. Suddenly I'm 12-years-old again, trying to keep my mind on my middle-school work in March 1983 -- but unable to do so 'cuz I know "Return of the Jedi" is only two months away.

No kidding! I'm so stoked it's hard to concentrate! I've only got one class this semester, and thankfully it's a mythology course, so we've been discussing Star Wars and Joseph Campbell.

I get to talk Star Wars and call it college!

I know exactly how you feel. This movie, and Jurassic World before it (though mostly on the day I was going to see it), have made me feel like an overexcited kid. Honestly, I'm happy about that as I was starting to fear I had grown too old and cynical to ever feel like that about an upcoming movie again.

A pity the the X-wing fighters (and starfighters in general) part of the game plays horribly, and doubly so compared to older games like Rogue Squadron and its sequel, and that's limiting myself to titles that were made with gamepads in mind, if you count titles that were designed for Joysticks like X-wing or Tie Fighter saying the starfighters in Battlefront play horribly is an understatement.

That Boba Fett was a clone or somewhat related to the clones was foreshadowed in a few EU things, like the "Farlander Papers" included in the PC videogame Star Wars: X-wing in 1992.

Also Boba is a clone himself only without accellerated growth.

If Luke is barely in the movie, maybe people should be told that. We all going to be distracted waiting for Luke to show up through out the whole film. If wr know he wont show up, audiences can just relax and not think about him.

The ST bashers are accusing JJ of the same pandering and it makes much more sense in his movie.

I'm not gonna be distracted in the least. I'm already fully down for seeing a movie with all the characters seen thus far, Luke will be the icing on the cake.

WOW... the numbers are staggering... records look not only to be broken... but shattered...

BOX OFFICE: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS May Open To $600 Million Worldwide

It's been a big week for Star Wars. When tickets went on sale on Monday night pretty much every website offering them immediately crashed due to the unprecedented level of demand, and The Force Awakens is already breaking box office records by selling eight times as many presale tickets than previous record holder The Hunger Games. The demand for tickets is in fact so high that screenings have sold out and some people are selling them on eBay at prices ranging from $100 to $1500, so if you haven't already got yours, you're f***ed. The movie is also tearing up social media too, with over 1.1. million Star Wars related Tweets sent out in the span of 24 hours between the 19th and 20th of this month. How will all this to translate to box office numbers though?

Well, analysts believe that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to easily sail past the $208.8 million mark with a domestic debut of upwards of $300 million and well over $600 million worldwide (which is also going to top Jurassic World's $524.4 million haul). Those are some incredible numbers, and it's not hard to imagine the movie going even higher than these estimates given the hype which currently surrounds it! Avatar won't hold that record too much longer...

Still can't see it opening to $300M, that's insane for any movie let alone something released in December when everyone's often everywhere else. But if it does manage it then I'd say that it's got a real shot at taking down Avatar, as long as its got the legs to last well into the new year, i.e. if the movie doesn't suck.
