Awesome to see a post OT Star Wars film that has F/X shots where all the elements seem fully integrated and not like a bad cut and paste Photoshop job.

Kylo's saber looks so awesome. So terrifyingly unstable, like it could just explode in his hand at any moment. It's almost a villain on its own!

Kylo's saber looks more like a "Firesaber" than a lightsaber". Looks too much like flames.

Taking nitpicking to a new level.

I like how they kept the unstable flame like effect, very raw and dangerous.

With the last line "Hope is something that is found", Luke reference to save the day? This is all speculation but it looks like the battle begins, things are hopeless, Luke, the legend, is no where to be seen, then final act the legend comes to save the day. I would watch that

Leave a mark at that range? I think not...

No marks on Dooku and those Sabres are much closer...

I tell you what though, is it me or is Daisy's delivery indeed a bit stiff? I know some of those lines were edited together but still, are we getting another teak-tastic performance from a leading lady in Star Wars? Maybe Mayhew wasn't wrong when he said she was Portman-esque. Won't be a problem for me if so, I just hope everyone else is a bit looser with their performances.

She sounds fine imo. It's just that her dialogue is badly edited together in the beginning of this trailer. Same with Kylo's.

You may turn out to be very, very right....after wars, many territories are renamed.

Anyway, I'm starting to believe, friends....I'm starting to believe all the early reports that JJ, Kasdan, and Kennedy just knocked this out of the park.

Could the Starkiller base be in Hoth? After all, the rebels left that place when the Empire arrived, maybe they stayed there to built the weapon... I don't want answers, I'm just speculating...

It's just that I hate seeing these ''new planets'' that are obvious remakes of the ones from previous movies.

Are you serious? You wanted The Phantom Menace to have special effects 16+ years ahead of its time?

I think it's a mountain planet, meant to emulate Hitler's mountain retreat -- it's not Hoth, because the planet has trees, and Finn, Chewie and Han are seen outside without any real protective gear.

So Jakku is probably a renamed Tatooine, but the mountain planet is not Hoth. That's my guess.

Man, JJ likes screwing wih us.
