Oh, my gosh. You're so right. The slander and disrespect those men have for the PT just oozes off the above quote you sited.

You've proven nothing here.

It's all right. Nada's big into the Prequels, I take it. Those fellows are going to be in for a rough ride the next few months. I imagine it's going to be frustrating and infuriating for them hearing everyone trash the Prequels all over again in favor of the new energy and skill coming out of LucasFilm.

People like myself who like or love the prequels have had to put up with the endless hate for 15 years, so it's nothing new if people still want to go on about it for whatever reason.

I'm fine with episodes 1-3 being largely ignored by Disney's Lucasfilm, I just don't want them contradicted or demoted from canon. I don't think they will be though.

I don't think Abrams or Kasdan said anything particularly critical in that article either. I may love the prequels but I don't want films like that as the sequels, I want an evolution from the original trilogy with its own feel, just as the prequels were distinct from the original trilogy for many good reasons, not least the passing of time in the narrative.

Just in case people haven't been keeping up on what's out there...

I'm missing both the People Magazine and the Rolling Stone/EW special editions.

Haven't been able to track them down yet.

With all the hype for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, I decided to do another set of covers for the Prequel Trilogy as well as the Original Trilogy. I used a similar title treatment for the front covers and a similar layout for the back covers of the recently released steelbooks. If anyone is interested in a set, PM me with your email address. The resolution in the images below is significantly reduced.

Cheers!
-steve

Many people like the prequels, myself included. I even rank ROTS as one of the top 3 films of the saga, along with ESB and ANH. The haters are a minority of loud and hyperbolic nitpicking fanatics of the OT who think the prequels diminish their "street cred" as Star Wars fans. It's actually pretty sad, but that's the only reason why they're so loud because the average viewer could easily just ignore the films if they don't like them. Neither trilogy diminishes enjoyment of the other. And I like them both. Any talk of erasing them from the canon is just stupid.

There's a 5 issue Marvel comic series called "Obi-Wan and Anakin" that's coming out in January which centers on the period between Episode 1 and 2. And honestly, I'm looking forward to it. And this is coming from a guy who has no love for the prequels at all. I'm hoping that much like The Clone Wars series, it'll go another step in redeeming the prequel era of the SW saga.
