The cynic would say it got them off the sidewalk and out of the way of the cameras and celebrities and nullified some security risks. I'm not a cynic, so I'm going with Lucas just being awesome. About what I expected. It sounds something like Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. A semi-reboot/remake of a classic following similar beats to a certain extent.

The difference is Singer is a much better storyteller and filmmaker and Superman Returns was a moving and wonderful film. I hope Abrams pulls it off the way Singer did, but I have my doubts based on his Trek films.

I'm sure it won't reach the misunderstood "brilliance" of the PT in your mind. But I'm sure you'll have no problem voicing your "opinion" while still acting as though people shouldn't have an opinion of the PT.

I've got no problem it whatsoever and I think Abrams will make a film that's at least on par with Jedi. Just seems strange that Faraci's getting such shit for saying it. His comments weren't even negative.

I think we all know the plot's going to be incredibly dumb.

He literally said "the story is shitty and dumb". Is it possible to say anything really more negative than that? As for us all knowing the plot is going to be dumb... Sure buddy. If that's what you think, that's one thing. That's absolutely not what everyone is expecting.

If this movie will feature JEDI and will be ADULT, I'm all for it. So much attention for a small, funny robot/droid is a bad sign, even.
