I don't really wanna see offspring of Han and Leia, I just don't think that angle will work.

I'm also hoping we might see Dennis Lawson (Wedge) pop up somewhere, maybe as a fighter pilot trainer/teacher

I dunno why people are getting so excited for the original cast though, Harrison Ford is a grumpy old man these days and has not come across well in recent films. Both Fisher and Hamill have been absent from any big roles for a long long time and weren't the best actors in the first place, plus they are both pretty chubby these days.

It will be cool to see them back in Star Wars sure but I think people are not looking at the big picture. Just to see Ford in those threads again, like Indy will be great, but that's all we're after really isn't it, beyond that this could be terrible. After the initial thrill of seeing them back in their iconic roles/costumes I think things could well go down hill fast.

I REALLY can't see Fisher back in this role, or Ford, I think Hamill will be OK if he slims down.

Who knows maybe they'll actually do a great job.

Always good to keep open mind about these things.

Possibly. With a few roles left to cast, it would be cool if they were announced on Sunday. There's rumors we may get a teaser soon. Nothing crazy, but that's part of the reason for the second unit filming already.

We may get some kind of teaser, but any teaser would be like that Avengers: AoU teaser - a logo and generic graphics - no footage or title or anything.

I'm guessing we see a good cast group photo or maybe even a press conference-type video on May 4.

Did you make a thread to state your complaint because you know it needs one to be viable!

it's Disney now. I guarantee it will be 3D, probably IMAX too, though not filmed that way (perhaps select scenes). Disney loves 3D (and the extra $$ that come with it), and Lucasfilm has already shown theyre interested in seeing SW in 3D.

On the plus side, Trek Into Darkness was one of the best conversions I've seen. I for one hope it IS in IMAX 3D. You haters can go see it on a 2D screen, but why deprive the rest of us?

Yeah, conversions have come a long way. And when you add in all of the CG work that will be done in native 3D, it can end up looking extremely good in 3D.

Into Darkness had fantastic 3D and was worth the IMAX price. If they decide to to Star Wars in 3D, I hope it's as good as that.

Into Darkness was the best 3D I've ever seen (without having seen Avatar in 3D...) so I don't mind if episode 7 goes down the 3D route. Though I'd be perfectly satisfied if it was in 2D, but knowing Disney this will be 3D for sure.

Likely 3D conversion, but Abrams won't shoot in 3D.

Now IMAX, that could be amazing. Can you imagine the IMAX records a true* Star Wars IMAX Experience would break?

*AOTC and ROTS were released in IMAX, but were of course not shot in IMAX so they didn't really benefit that much from the size.
